  1. We are currently on a B2B that includes Canada. We had to submit test results for the first leg but did not have to do any testing for the second leg.
  2. It rotates. But it does repeat itself depending on if on a seven day or longer sailing.
  3. Sorry, there has been no news regarding the engine repair. I will try and remember to ask someone tonight and see if there is any update beyond there are folks onboard working on it.
  4. Something I was not aware of until today but they no longer, at least on Quantum, put the Luggage Valet paperwork in your stateroom. We received our paperwork for debarkation and noticed that there was nothing about luggage valet included do I asked the Suite Concierge and was told you had to request the documents. So if you are sailing on Quantum, your flight is after a speified time, and want to take advantage of Luggage Valet, request the form early, I believe ours were due yesterday. Here is the debarkation paperwork we received:
  5. On Quantum for the last two weeks made to order omelettes are available in Coastal Kitchen.
  6. Clocks were set forward to Pacific time last night. My wife is use to waking ip early but then going back to bed. This morning she woke me around 0600 to show me the full moon. It was very bright and the sky was clear for a change. FullSizeRender.MOV
  7. yes, sorry about yesterday. I slacked off but to catch you up. . . . Yesterday we were in Juneau. We had two items on our “to do” list (1) Have lunch at Tracy’s Alaska King Crab, and (2) pick up a few Alaska 2023 calendar’s to give to friends when we get back home. We had been warned to get to Tracy’s early as it gets crowded. We made the mistake of having breakfast onboard so were not hungry and decided to wait until around 1100-1130 to go. Big mistake! There was a very long line if people waiting to get into the restaurant. We looked inside and it was packed and the seating was very tight so we decided to go and check back later. We worked our way down the main drag from the Alaska shirt company, which is mostly jewelry shops down to the Senate Building where we finally found some 2023 calendars. (Note: In Skagway one shop was selling 2021 calendars) We walked back, Tracy’s was still packed so we decided to make our way back to the ship. We did think about stopping at a food cart we had heard about onboard, Bernadett’s Philipino BBQ, but as it was starting to drizzle, and there is no seating area that was covered, we called it quits and went back aboard. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful and relaxing. I left my cellphone in the room after my after lunch nap so did not get any pictures of dinner. A few random pictures, including one of the line to get back onto the ship about an hour before all aboard.
  8. So dinner tonight was again in Costal Kitchen. It was very good. Sugar snap pea salad Seafood Veloute Roasted Chicken Grilled Barramundi Vacherin Chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla ice cream Food porn follows: IMG_7385.MOV
  9. As @Italy52 said, tendering was a breeze. We waited until after lunch, went dow to deck 2, presented our Seapass cards, and stepped onto the tender. We waited less tan five minutes before the tender departed the ship. About 5 minutes later the tender deposited us at the marina. There were free shuttle busses to the city center we elected to walk a little over 1/4- mile to the City center. The wind was blowing and there was a chill in the air but we had dressed accordingly so it was not a bad walk. Some shopping and then it was a leisurely walk back to the tender pickup point. We walked down the ramp and onto a waiting tender. About 10 minutes later the tender departed to the ship.
  10. Here is the Diamond Plus amenities letter we received this week on Quantum if the Seas. Diamond + do not have access to the Suite / Concierge lounge on Quantum.
  11. We are in Skagway today and due to the landslides in the dock area passengers are not allowed to use the dock so we are tendering. Since all aboard is not until 8:30 pm tonight, we have decided to wait until after lunch before catching the tender that will take us to the port. It appears to be a very short ride from the ship, around the jetty to the marina where they are disembark. Will post our experience with the process later but it appears to be working well as I believe they have called all of the 'ticket holders' for people who wanted to leave early.
  12. While having a pre-dinner drink in the Suite Lounge we were fortunate to see a whale. The first we saw as the whale blowing when taking a breath. The next was a full breach. Both were in the distance behind the ship so did not see it again. Dinner in Coastal Kitchen was delicious! French onion soup Oven-roasted Cod (with steamed rice) Ivory Mousse Brownie wit vanilla i e cream (off menu item Food porn:
  13. We could probably get a paper copy if we wanted but we really do not plan ahead once we are on the ship.
  14. Lunch today was again in the Coastal Kitchen. It was excellent. My wife had the lentil soup for he appetizer while I decided to try the fennel sausage flatbread (amazing!) For her main course it was the Green Vegetable Curry and I had the Roasted Lamb Loin. We both really like our dishes. Food porn:
  15. That is the cup that came with my Soda Package. I have no idea about the DBP.
  16. Today is a short port visit to Katchikan. After breakfast in the Coastal Kitchen we grabbed our jackets and walked off the ship. We proceeded to the Salmon Market and purchased the snoked salmon that we will give to family, friends, and neighbors. We then went to the drug store to get some mouthwash, we used the last of what we brought wiyh us this morning and I did not recall seeing any for sale onboard. Our daughter had asked us to pick ip a couple of t-shirts for our grandaughter so we got her two. We were back aboard and in our stateroom by 0910. I am sitting on our balcony people watching as we are on the starboard side overlooking the dock/pier. A couple of photo’s I took earlier.
  17. On Quantum last week and this we were given a form to complete for customs declaration for Canada. On the first week, we also had to fill out a piece of paper that our stateroom attendant left one night in our room that asked for the code from our our ArriveCAN application. We received the customs declaration for our second leg but were not asked for the code from our ArriveCAN application.
  18. We have been on a Quantum B2B the last two weeks. One of the things that my wife. and I both really like is rice. We asked and have received rice, either steamed or fried, with every meal that we have requested it since thing. While we have not even considered asking for items from the MDR, we have been told that if there was something in the Windjammer that we wanted, they would be happy to accomodate.
  19. I agree 100% with this. I had to ask someone where I could pick up my cup.
  20. The free sessions were booked very quickly, both this week and last but if you checked daily, there were opening appearing. We had a reservation for a free session that was cancelled due to issues in port but were able to book for another inport date/time. . The paid ones seem to be more readily available. I would suggest you keep checking daily as openings do occur.
  21. Tonight was the first "Dress to Impress" night for this weeks sailing on Quantum of the Seas and we've seen everything from men in t-shirts to tuxedo's and women in regular dress or blouse and jeans to evening gowns. That is for both Coastal Kitchen and the MDR. As far as Windjammer goes, it is still is anything but bathing suits or birthday suits.
  22. I can verify that we have received the shareholder benefit OBC on both Royal Caribbean and Celebrity cruises.
