  1. Finally got DH up and we went to SeaDay Brunch again, after getting our magical life-giving juice. I opted for an iced moccachino this morning, it was delicious but went down too easily! For breakfast I got the eggs Benedict, no ham or salmon, and a side of pork sausage. The eggs Benedict was delicious, gosh I wish I could make that back home…the hollandaise (however you spell that) sauce always messes me up. The sausage tho…yuck. Is that really pork sausage???
  2. Oh my gosh I’ve been indulging more as well. I’m glad I packed a thing of Tums!
  3. I hadn’t noticed it at all, I will try and keep an ear out to see if I notice it now.
  4. Ok so…tonight’s events… M Theory in the Mardi Gras Theater didn’t keep our attention. Left after 5 minutes. Went to the Fortune Teller Bar where I’m shameless to say I maxed out on Cheers! 😳 The Bohemian Treat is very, very good, and Vera and Aylin are very, very good bartenders! The private event we were given a card to attend is a speakeasy in the Liquid Lounge (right above FT Bar), it has jazz music, drink specials, and im not sure what else…at 10:50 I said “take me drunk, I’m home.” I don’t know what we did to get an invite, a bartender from FT who we had yesterday and today gave us the invite,
  5. Fortune Teller drinks will be the death of my Cheers package tonight! We came here at 8:11 and made friends with a bartender who gave us a card for a “private event” tonight…oh crud. I can hardly walk to the event! I’m too toasted! Anyway, drink review: Abracadabra: good, but not my favorite New Moon: strong, but good! My new favorite from the menu! lime in the coconut: good, but the new moon easily trumps it
  6. Ok…im 12 drinks in on my drink package now, excuse my typos! I’m not driving the ship tho, so it’s ok! dinner tonight was at Rudi’s Seagrille, after our preparty at Alchemy. They gave me a “free” bottle of Merlot y’all! This is in ADDITION to my Cheers package! Needless to say…it was consumed by the end of dinner. For starters, I had the scallops (freaking delicious!) and DH had calamari (tender). I did the seafood bisque (ok, not great) then the crabcake (realllllly goooood!) and some kinda side (yuk) for my main, the the chocolate cake (moist and delicious but suuuuper Rich!) for dessert. oh yeah…by da way, I was obsessed with the cute plates at Rudi’s, so there are pics of those. 😂
  7. Sea Day #1 consisted of a lot of nothing and drinking. 😂 I sat on the balcony until 1245 reading, then headed up to Serenity. I stopped by Time Fries on my way, they had chili cheesesteak fries! Heck yeah! I got some and paraded up to Serenity and nabbed a lounger. There were TONS available, most in the sun. I ordered a Skinny Fizz, then got in line at Fresh Creations to get some veggies to go with it. I love the salad bar addition! They had nearly anything you could want in a salad available. I went back to the cabin around 2 when it started to rain to check on DH, he was doing schoolwork but was needing brain food so we headed to Lido to find him some grub. He wanted Shaq’s, and I decided to try the Shaq Attack sammich, minus cheese. It was AWESOME. We spent the afternoon after that at Alchemy with Zoltan, who is a freaking awesome mixologist! He made me a Deal Closer (just as awesome as I remember it being), The Remedy (yum), The Pain Relief (holy moly it was strong) and a Cucumber Sunrise (so light, crisp and refreshing!). To close out my time there he made a creamy coconut martini, and oh my gosh y’all…that’s my new go-to drink onboard! It was PHENOMENAL! Now to try and get ready for dinner at Rudi’s. It’s elegant night…can I apply makeup drunk? Let’s give it a whirl!
  8. Here ya go! I’ll try and leave some fun onboard for you 🙂
  9. After 30 total minutes our table was ready. Service was quick for sea day brunch, DH go chicken Caesar salad, I got the Voyager burger (it was delicious!) and we both got the Birthday Bellini, which was ok. DH didn’t like his and had me drink it, so I guess I get 16 drinks today…score! 🤪 We wandered up to Serenity to check it out, and that will be my hangout I think! I got a Skinny Fizz while up there, it’s perfect. We came back to the room for DH to do schoolwork and I will enjoy the balcony for a bit, but then we will head back to Serenity later.
  10. Got my go-go juice, an iced latte. Mmmmm! The barista isn’t very friendly, but I’m thinking she’s just suuuuper busy. i checked in for sea day brunch at 8:40, it said under 10 minute wait. It’s 9:01 now, still waiting. Hmmm, me thinks their timing is off. Waiting at Fortune Teller Bar now.
  11. Good morning! Going to go find some magical life giving concoction (aka coffee) and breakfast shortly. Until then, enjoying this view!
  12. Tonight’s thoughts/activities: Went to Grand Central for the Playlist Sneak Peek at 8. We got there about 745 and got to hear the Center Stage band and singers, they are good! At 8 sharp the Playlist cast came out, and all I can say is WOW. They’re great!! KFire had a welcome aboard like show at 815 in the atrium, and that was good as well. Had a bunch of different musicians from around the ship give a taste of what they have to offer. At 845 we headed to the theater to get a seat for the first Playlist show, Rock Revolution, and this was my first sour taste onboard so far. It was a MADHOUSE already, and other passengers were kind of rude. They opened the theater doors at 902, and we went in and got good seats, but I really think I like the theater on smaller ships better, with upper and lower level entrances, not just one level. Especially with so many passengers sailing! As for the show…it wasn’t bad, just not my cup of tea. The cast, like I said, is very talented! Now to call it a day. I’m beat. Oh, but check out these awesome door decorations a cabin down from us did! I love it!
  13. Steakhouse dinner…wow…phenomenal. i had the stuffed mushrooms, which were crispy and tasty, with the spinach/blue cheese/bacon salad, which was delicious. I had the filet with spice rub for my main, it was tender and juicy, with the Mac and cheese…oh that was delish! DH had the pork belly, he raved about it, with the Caesar salad, and the spice rubbed ribeye. He raved about the mashed potato’s. dessert for me was the chocolate sphere…whew, it was rich! DH got cookies and cream ice cream. cocktails were the 555 for DH, he loved it, and the seven seas for me, which was ok. All in all, dinner was exceptional!
  14. It was, but showed us a bunch available for booking
  15. Not my favorite cocktail, but not bad. Just…different! Adryana is a great bartender!
  16. @Caps_Shield, trying your recommendation of the Venus Rising next. Will let you know very shortly how it is!
  17. Wandering the ship. The Brass Magnolia is soooo pretty, I love it! Fortune Teller Bar is pretty awesome too. Just tried a Bog Juice (it’s ok) but DH’s Third Eye is great!
  18. Should be sailing anytime now! Byeeeeeee Freedom! Bye Mariner!
  19. I probably can’t be unbiased, to be honest. I love these cabins, they are my top pick. I hate regular balconies, they feel tiny to me.
  20. We are on MG right now, not in a suite, and had a Loft 19 banner pop up about 2 weeks ago in our cruise planner. Pig & Anchor on deck 8 was a less crowded option for lunch today, otherwise it looked like just Lido options.
  21. Settled into our room, aft balcony 14502. Overall impressions: *Love being 2 decks down from Lido! *Flip side, being 5-7decks UP from all the inside fun kinda sucks. I’m a big girl, the stairs are not my best friend, but I will be trying to utilize them more! *Balcony seems to be a bit bigger than I remember. But again…I live in a camper, sooooo this stateroom is as big as my home…I could just be crazy. *Flip side to that: the bathroom is TINY. Like…my camper bathroom is 2-3 sizes this size. What’s up with that?? *Storage is awesome in this room, much better than other CCL ships. Way to go Carnival!
  22. @Eli_6, tried the praline truffle from Brass Magnolia that you suggested. Oh my! Very, very good. @kompera, tried the Bayou Lemonade from there as well…and that is my new go to drink! Crisp, refreshing, and just PERFECT!!
