Posts like this make me so excited for our Anthem cruise in March. Unique activities are just what I am looking for!

It isn't on all cruises...just a select few sailings. I can't really tell the rhyme or reason behind which sailings have it and which don't.

Would you have a link to that?
Here's a link to a CC thread where someone just posted all seven days worth of menus from Anthem:

I did not see it or missed it on our Thanksgiving cruise. Isn't it a lot like Carnival's Choco Melting Cake? YUM!!!:)
The one I'm thinking of wasn't very similar to warm chocolate melting cake (which I also love). I think RC does serve a lava cake that sounded like wcmc to me.

I discovered that the same night they offer it in the MDR, you can get it in Windjammer in a real sized piece that will quench any chocolate craving! Delicious.
That is awesome! Thanks for the info!

We got my son a passport card a few years ago, instead of the book. We do not have any plans for flying internationally for a number of years. I believe children must have their passport renewed every 5 years. With it being good for so much less time for children, we decided to save a little money and get the card. We did not get it for cruising though. We got it for a trip to Niagara Falls by car.

I need to do an eastern sailing...we have only done Western, not many of those ports on the list so far. My favorites include Cozumel and Grand Cayman. Least favorite is Freeport.

I have made it at home before, and it is soooo good. I'll look for the dessert trio on my upcoming cruise.

I last sailed Royal in 2003. At that time, they had a delicious flourless chocolate cake on the menu. I think it was just called literally that--Royal flourless chocolate cake. Does RC still have this dessert? I see a Royal chocolate cake on the 'classics' menu, but not sure it is the same thing.

Thanks so much for posting! Many people have been chomping at the bit to see these (myself included).

I think it depends on the ship. Some have one inclusive price and others are a la carte.

Im a forty year old out of shape mom, and I recently did the Flowrider (boogie board only) several times at a local water park. It was awesome! Be warned, though, that wiping out, even on the boogie board, generally involves being tumbled around quite a bit.

We'll be in Nassau on Saturday and rain is a possibility. What are some interesting places to visit if it rains? I plan on visiting the library (all librarians visit libraries while on vacation). Any other suggestions?
As a librarian, I can say this is true! I have the Nassau PL on my list of things to do on our next cruise as well!

Yes, she is a mini schnauzer named Pumpkin. Best dog I have ever had. Sweetest little snuggle bug. :)

Yes, it was called zorbing! It was neat! I remember reading that it is 'big' in New Zealand.
Don't worry, though....he knows who is in charge! :). When I say it is his choice, I guess what I mean is that it is my choice to not argue over what is to me a non-issue. If he doesn't want to do this thing for fun, why make him.
Thanks for the info on booking aboard the ship--if I like it when we do it, I'll try to do that!

I'm hoping he will do it--I'm really looking forward to it, and I think he would love it too. Past experience has taught me, though, to be prepared for the backout. I recently purchased a groupon for both of us for an OGO ball ride in the Smokey Mountains (imagine a giant hamster ball thing that you crawl into and ride down a hill). One of us backed out and one of us rode twice--lol. I"m glad to hear they won't charge us though. I wouldn't try to make him do it....it's his choice, but I"m glad that money won't even figure in to it. I know that I want to do it!
You mentioned that you went multiple times. I have booked it for us on our cruise, but can only book one time slot. Do they have open times when they don't require registrations? I might like to do it more than once.

I've registered my son and I for iFly on Anthem. I understand that if you do not cancel at least 12 hours in advance, you are charged $25, which makes sense to me. I am a little concerned that my son will not actually go through with doing it. Do you think RC will charge me if we arrive at our scheduled time, but my son backs out? Just wondering if anyone had experience with this.

I called and asked! They were able to do a price adjustment on my cruise, so no need to go back in the guarantee pool. I received a confirmation that has my same room assignment number on it, so I'm feeling great!

I was assigned an awesome cabin when I booked a balcony guarantee. The price has dropped a bit on my cruise for balcony guarantees. I am before final payment and am booked in the United States. I would like to get the price drop, but I don't want to go back into the guarantee pool--I want to keep the room assignment I have. If I call Royal, will they honor the price drop without changing my cabin?
Thank you!

March 26, 2017. First time back on RC since my honeymoon in 2003!! I truly cannot wait. We have sailed a few times on Carnival and Celebrity in the intervening years, but nothing has matched the feeling of our first cruise on Rhapsody in 2003. First cruises are always special, I'm sure, but I'm hoping to capture a bit of that Magic by going back to RC.

Awesome! The cruise gods were smiling on me yesterday! Thanks for the explanation regarding "smaller' balcony. We have never sailed in a balcony, so any size balcony is big to us!

My guarantee balcony was assigned--category D2, room. 11196 on Anthem. This seems like a great assignment to me. It is a deck that has cabins above and below, and I don't believe it is an obstructed balcony (which is kind of what I thought I would be stuck with booking a guarantee). Anyone have any feedback for me on this cabin location?
One thing I don't understand is that my cruise planner on RC's website says it is a "smaller balcony". It looks the same size as all the others on deck plans. Anyone know why they would put that in the description?
Thank you!

I'm booked on Anthem in March, and this sale worked great for me! I upgraded from our inside guarantee to a balcony guarantee for difference of about $40 total for the week. RC sent me a confirmation that included a $75 discount for C&A members for a balcony. I did not receive $100 onboard credit, though. Do you think that is for new bookings only? Or is it something I need to ask for? When I do a mock booking through the website, I do not see $100 obc.
Thank you!

I have not done it yet, but plan on taking my 10year old to the pirate museum in Nassau. It gets great reviews on tripadvisor. It isn't free, but relatively inexpensive.

Sounds like you had a great cruise! Thanks for sharing info! As far as breakfast in 270, do you remember what kind of things they offered? Did you try the complimentary coffee here or just the additional cost coffee? Coffee is semi-important to me, and I'm thinking about purchasing the coffee card. However, I don't drink lattes and such--just want a good regular cup of coffee.
