They are a for profit business. We as customers have a choice to participate or not. I am not defending the cruise line just stating fact. I sail at the end of July. When I booked I knew the situation. In fact, I gave up a 24 day HAL cruise in August for a 7 day Celebrity July cruise figuring I would have less of a chance to face a quarantine situation. In this environment there is much to consider.

It is a matter of financial survival for them.

Thank you! I believe it ended March 31. With that said, when I was making the booking and asked my CVP about it she gave me instructions on how to file for it, so I assumed it was still in effect. Again, MY BAD. She has been of the past few days so I have not been able to discuss with her.

Over the weekend I did. I have not heard back. BUT, since we booked after(April 13) the Best Price Guarantee Date I am thinking it will be rejected. We will see. If I would not have booked airfare with Celebrity, I would consider cancelling and rebooking. I would still be way ahead.

I keep telling myself "you win some you lose some, and I lost, LOL". With all things considered, I should have known better and waited until after final payment. So, no one to blame but myself.

The website says 21 days, but, some have reported receiving emails or the ability to bid much sooner than the 21 days. Hopefully, those will come along and share.

The US requires a test within one day of return. We just returned from a land vacation in Munich and this was a requirement. We were lucky to find a nearby testing site that offered tests for tourists for only 10 euro. I suspect by September this test will no longer be a requirement. In fact, I am hoping within the next month it is dropped.

Imo, this is a sign of a very good agent!
