  1. Indeed, wishing you well on all your new endeavors.
  2. "Another One Bites the Dust" 🤔 --John Deacon, "Queen"
  3. @Qld13 How lovely of you! Thank you so much! Incredibly helpful!
  4. We are sailing soon in the Caribbean, and one of our traveling companions has recently been prescribed medication that requires staying away from alcohol while on it and staying out of the sun. 😖 Does anyone know if the Grandeur offers nonalcoholic gin, for example?
  5. @mrlevin Thank you for that advice! So good to know! We are not as steady on our feet as we once were. 🫤
  6. @papaflamingo Thank you very much! Always such great advice from you 😊
  7. Although we’ve sailed Regent multiple times, we’ve not often taken in the nightly show—just too tired etc. However, this time coming up on the Grandeur ,we are taking friends—first time cruisers—who are very interested in attending the nightly shows. What time do we need to get to the theater? Are sets for four together difficult to find? Best area of the theater to watch the shows? Thank you for your advice.
  8. @papaflamingo Anyway, it's real, for sure, but in our case (we were in 811) just not a big deal at all. Enjoy the beautiful Grandeur and have a wonderful cruise. 😎 Thanks! I’ll report back on suite 876.
  9. We board on the 27th! Can't wait to read your reports--most especially I think--news from you and others you talk to regarding the cabin-to-cabin noise levels. 🙀 Seems to be about the only "flaw" so far....
  10. Are you able to order these at the Chartreuse bar with a cocktail, or is this just a dining room item??
  11. Ooo please tell me more about the "potato chip thing!" A specialty of some sort? Available only in Chartreuse? A whole bag?? I'd like to surprise my DH--a true potato chip lover! Thanks!
  12. @papaflamingoThank you! I was hoping for information from someone who took Regent up on one of these offers. I appreciate your insights. (Yes! Navigator to Mariner MUCH BETTER! Won't sail on Navigator again. Just not a fan.) If we were not traveling with dear friends, and if this was not their very first (!) cruise, my husband and I would have jumped on one of the options, in particular. But too many "if's" for this time. I was happy to hear about the open excursions, and you are right about the Specialty Restaurants. We'd not likely get prime time reservations, but most likely get a chance to try them. May I ask...how did your trip insurance transfer? Hopefully seamlessly??
  13. Suite details in offer say "accommodations indicated for the rate already booked.....subject to remaining availability." They are offering a monetary bonus on two of the newly offered voyages plus the added days at no cost. No OBC in the offer It's tempting but we are going with another couple--waiting to see if they received the offer as well--just would like to know what the excursion situation is this late and the opportunity to book the specialty restaurants. As I said, this was all settled so long ago, so this it throwing us a bit....
  14. Just received a "voluntary opportunity" from Regent to switch our Grandeur voyage Feb/March for 3 later ones in March. (One Splendor, two Grandeur), offering free additional days onboard and a monetary bonus. From your experience, would we get the same suite category? And what about excursions at this late date? Specialty dining reservations? For our current cruise, all that was set up many months ago. I'd appreciate hearing your experiences with this? Thank you!
  15. Best of luck! Looking forward to your food review!
  16. Has anyone sailed (or does anyone know) if this year's El Nino weather is affecting the weather in the Caribbean? It sure is affecting it in South Florida! We sail the last week of Feb and into March and are wondering about the weather. Thanks!
  17. I posted a blog in 2018 of our Connoisseur trip. The photos have expired, but the information is 6 years newer than the one listed above. Connoisseur is definitely worth the extra cost. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2560841-trip-review-connoisseur-land-amp-sea-rb8-june-19-july-4-2018/
  18. Another great solution I was unaware of! Thank you!
  19. We've sailed on Regent several times, but I did not remember that. Thank you.
  20. After boarding we will have our room key, so perhaps just a very quick stop to drop it off would be viable option. Thank you for sharing your experience!
  21. We just didn't want to hang on to the garment bag while we go to lunch and wait for our suite to be ready, but if the garment bag won't be safe in the hands of the stevedores or the Regent staff assigned to bring luggage to suites, then I suppose the only recourse is to hang on to the bag until our suite is ready. Anyone else have experience with garment bags at the Port of Miami?
