  1. We were on AOS two years ago for a Caribbean b2b then we were on her again for 16 nights this past Sept in the Med. We love this ship, very easy to find your way around. Some of the furniture is getting a little long in the tooth in the staterooms but I'd go on her again. We've had the same D2 balcony room both times and I personally wouldn't give up the balcony in a warm climate but that's just me. Giovanni's Table is very good, we ate there many times!

  2. We've spent a total of 30 days on Adventure, two weeks in the Caribbean and 16 days in the Med. I love the layout of the ship, very easy to get around. She was in refit last year and got the way finders and flat screens. While the public areas are really nice the staterooms are needing a little up dating. The table on the balcony is low. I still love Adventure and would travel on her again. Enjoy which ever you choose, you can't go wrong.

  3. The Labor Secretary has gotten involved with negotiations,so hopefully they can resolve this quickly, like before 2/28. Only kidding, this is hurting way too many people. I hear its about 60% chance of rain on Saturday on the 28th. We need it desperately but hoping it can hold out till Sunday :-). I don't think there is to much protection from the rain at the terminal besides the parking structure unless they open the dome early. Don't forget to bring your umbrella.

I'm so sick of rain, that's why we booked this cruise! I always have a brollie by the door, I'll grab it on the way out!

  4. We've cruised on Adventure twice, two years ago in the Caribbean for two weeks and most recently a 16 night Med cruise. We had the same cabin both times. I must say our attendant in the Caribbean did a much better job of cleaning. I dusted the baseboards and wiped the hand prints from the mirror and balcony doors. I didn't like to complain because we love Adventure and RCI. I think it's time to replace the furnishings in the cabin, that would make a big difference.

  5. That's really wonderful and something you will always remember. We had a similar experience on our 2011 Caribbean cruise. In our instance my work mates husband use to be in the Coast Guard with our Captains wife, he emailed her and she took us to the bridge for sail away from St Lucia, it is something we will always remember. We didn't get to "drive" the boat though!

  6. We have been on 6 Royal cruises and one Carnival with another in about 10 days. Carnival was fine, our cabin was very clean but certainly the crew were not as friendly as Royal. We are only going Carnival as it is a last minute really good airline employee deal and I need a break from our rainy winter.

We went on Carnival for a last minute Alaska cruise last July then a Med on Adventure in Sept. The folks on Royal were much livelier than Carnival, we did cruise from the UK! I think it depends on the itinerary as to the demographics. As MangoMike ("F"book said) beer/pretzels vs wine/cheese. That being said you'll have fun on either, but if you were my son I'd say try Royal first. Which I did tell him and he tried Oasis, we'll see how he likes Carnival next week.

Have a great cruise which ever you choose.
