  1. Over recent weeks i've noticed that traffic is a lot slower than previously on the dual carriageways round here.
  2. Usually start between 11:00 and 11:30.
  3. Stavanger also has a very good Viking museum. Walkable from the ship and considerably cheaper to DIY rather than taking the ship's trip.
  4. Always been happy with P4C. On one occasion boarding was delayed due the ship (Oceana) arriving later than usual. P4C took the car off us and we had a wait of about an hour in the terminal before checking in etc. Got on board about 1400. CPS wouldn't take peoples cars off them, and they all had to wait with their cars. The Peninsular Embarkation lunch was re-scheduled, closing about 1630. There were some people who missed the lunch due to CPS not taking their cars off them.
  5. If driving on the day, it's about 20 minutes from the M25. Direct train service from Fenchurch Street to Tilbury Town, then an included bus service to the terminal, or a cab ride that's shorter than Southampton Not much about nearby if wanting to stay the night before though.
  6. Not too sure. But I don't think its unreasonable to be refunded the cash element, ie the cash paid without the 25% enhancement. But then when have P&O consistently behaved reasonably?
  7. If they do sell Arcadia in the not too distant future, no doubt there will be another round of refunds or FCCs to administer.... We used FCCs from several cruises for our 2024 worldie, so we will either end up with yet more FCC unless we go for the refund. Oh well, Aurora in 2025? No aft balconies, so it will be an inside. Dependant on inflation, a decent saving for us. Would rather have the balcony on Arcadia though.
  8. Doesn't bode well. Hopefully its all just a coincidence. 🤞
  9. Oh dear. Potentially ours, and no doubt others re-booked worldies gone again. 🙁
  10. Just noticed that Arcadia snuck out of Southampton last night and is currently east of Norfolk, heading north. Soton VTS showed her destination as coastal. Just wondering whether she's heading back to Tyneside or dry dock, or just blowing the cobwebs away?
  11. Pretty poor show these companies cancelling at short notice. We used Randox last year for post travel test and were impressed with their service. I've noticed that they now do click & collect local to me, so in the event that we still need to do a self-administered test in November, we will probably use them.
  12. Last week we booked a November cruise on Iona. It's a Peninsula Club cruise, so 5% discount when booking Select. Prices for our grade of balcony were: Select, £1064 (including the 5% reduction) with £180pp OBC (will use P4C or get the train), and not on deck 8! Early Saver was £999pp, possibly end up on deck 8. May well be a bit of an anomaly, it just seemed rude not to go for Select on this occasion. As for our Azura cruise next year... that's an inside Early Saver!
  13. What it is about washing lines? I'm the one who does the washing 99% of the time. And 100% of the time The Ole Lady re-hangs at least some of it. 😂
  14. With you on that one. A couple of weeks ago we managed to re-book our Jan Azura cruise - £629pp for two weeks. I wanted to b2b with the one before it for the same price, but The Ole Lady wouldn't have it 🙁
