  1. Concierge Lounge is gone on Liberty. She only has a Diamond Lounge and Suite Lounge. Suite Lounge is limited to guests in Grand Suites and better, and Pinnacle level C&A members.

We're in an OS. Suite Lounge is for evenings, right? Where is the Diamond Lounge? Looking to send hubby out for cappuccinos in the morning. :)

  2. Hey Aprille, this will be our first time in a Haven, what did all these people do for you that made them so good?

Anything and everything you ask! We had an issue with hubby's key card. It didn't have the UBP and 4UDP showing on the card and we were getting charged for drinks the first day. Spoke with Omar the next morning. He got it fixed. Maxi will bring meals en suite, if you like. And he brings afternoon snacks daily. And he is a joy to be around. He has an infectious personality. Juni was wonderful. I have some mobility issues and don't get off the ship so I asked that she clean our cabin first (or asap) so I could spend the day in our lovely suite and she took care of us first thing morning and night. Oliver takes care of you in the Haven courtyard. He will serve breakfast and lunch plus take drink and snack orders during the day. He is a sweetie.

The service in The Haven was awesome! Enjoy! :)

  3. Was it not a promo when you booked? Just returned yesterday on Jade in The Haven and got UBP, 4UDP, 250 internet minutes and $50 for excursions per port. If you didn't get it as a promo then you have to pay.

Tell Omar (best Concierge EVER!), Maxi (butler), Juni (cabin stewardess) and Oliver (Haven Courtyard valet) "hi" from Aprille & Marty. They were all awesome!

  4. I'll just share my last flight experience. It was not pre-cruise but post-cruise. After our 19-night Panama Canal cruise last year (Houston to Seattle) we spent 3 nights in Seattle after the cruise. Our flight home was delayed EIGHT HOURS because the vehicle bringing the luggage to the plane ran into the plane. Oops! It was just a "small dent" but they had to fix it, of course. I had a sinus infection from the "pollen tsunami" in Seattle (that's what the local news was calling it). It was pure misery but luckily we weren't trying to get to the cruise.

Stuff happens. You have to do what you're comfortable with.

  5. Loving the review! Keep it coming.

We were on the Jewel Panama Canal cruise last April from Houston to Seattle. 19 nights. It was awesome. The day we went through the canal my hubby was running all over the ship. He must have said, "This is AWESOME!!!" 100 times. LOL!

We were in an aft penthouse suite on deck 10 and also had Jennifer as our butler. It was our first experience with a butler and let me just say she spoiled us for all others. We were in a 2 bedroom suite in The Haven on Jade in December and our butler was less than impressive. I wanted Jennifer back! Please tell her Aprille & Marty said hi and we missed her SO MUCH on our last cruise. She deserves a promotion to The Haven (assuming that's a promotion - lol).

  6. I'm trying to figure out what days to make reservations for specialty restaurants and would love to see the daily schedules in advance. Does anyone know where I can search for this? I know that I'm seen them posted somewhere by past cruisers. Thanks!

Oakman58 just posted the dailies a few minutes ago on his review for the Jade 1/26-1/23 -- Nature's wrath. Check the end of his review.

The dailies are on page 7 (link below) but the entire review is definitely worth a read.

  7. I booked our upcoming cruise online in Dec. In late January I had a call from our PCC (didn't even know we had one since I booked online). He was trying to sell me a cruise! I told him I already had one booked. He had no clue! Hello?! He looked up our cruise and gushed away about letting him know if there was anything he could do to help us. Just give him a call.

The next day I realized I had an issue with all of our specialty dinner reservations which I had also made online in Dec. They had all gone poof (which I now know is not uncommon). I called our PCC two days in a row with no call back. So the following day I called the general number and had help with getting 2 of the 4 reservations back but not the other 2 reservations. The next day I called again and spoke with an angel who was able to get my other 2 reinstated. Neither time did they try to transfer me to my PCC. Thank goodness!

The guy never did call me back.

  8. Thanks for the review especially the raves about Omar. We were in the Haven on Jade in Dec and had Bruno as the concierge. Let's just say I was underwhelmed.

Do you remember the name of the butler? We had Antonio in Dec and, again, underwhelmed.

We had Jacob as our cabin steward and hope he is still there. He was great. Also Oliver in the Haven taking care of the food area and taking drink orders by the pool. He was awesome. One day he even hunted down oatmeal raisin cookies for my mom. LOL!

  9. I've used the lovely search feature here on the board. But my situation is a little different. I live in Houston and need town car transportation from my home to Bayport Cruise Terminal and then a return trip from IAH to home.

I'm looking at Elite. I got quotes from Absolute Town Car service but then read a LOT of very bad reviews. Elite has mostly good reviews.

We will only have 2 people but it's a 19 night cruise (plus 4 nights post cruise in Seattle) so we'll have 4 large bags plus carryons. I also have a Hugo (collapsible walker with seat) that takes up a lot of room. But I think we could fit everything in a 4 person sedan (probably with stuff in our laps - LOL!).

Anyone have personal experience and/or recommendations?

  10. Yes, I've slogged through much of the Sticky post on NCL Mastercard. Yes, I've used the lovely search feature here on CC. Yes, I've checked the WorldPoints rewards website. I still have a few of questions that I haven't found the answer to.

How close to sail date can you wait to order the OBC online?

What happens to your OBC if you have to cancel the cruise? Can you book another cruise and have the OBC transferred? Even if you don't book the next cruise right away?

The reason I'm asking is my 92 year old dad is in poor health and there is a possibility we'll have to cancel our upcoming Panama Canal cruise. Hopefully not. *fingers crossed*
