  1. I looked at the ship schedule for August. It is showing Brilliance there on August 10, 2019 and Serenade August 18, 2019. We are on Serenade back to back. Hhhhmmmm have any clue if there is a mistake on schedule?

We arrive in Copenhagen on the morning of the 7th. Any suggestions on things to do in the Tivioli area besides the Gardens?

  2. We went down to  Duval Street because of a recommendation of a friend. We stumbled on Pinchers  Crab Shack with two for one drinks and wonderful food.  I found some wonderful sandels near by that are my new favorite brand.

  3. Frequently juveniles who are too young to participate in mating and calving as well as pregnant mamas who are trying to feed as much as possible before heading south hang out to feed as long as they can do so. The breeding/calving grounds do not have food for them so they must fast until they come north next year. The difference in body fat on a female that is pregnant and heading south compared to the same female when she returns with a calf in the spring is stuning. They are truly magnificent creatures. I know that each day I can spend with them is a great privilege. I am happy to answer any questions about them that I can. Enjoy!

When is the best time of year to see them?

    Thanks

  4. I go to a website and it tells all the dates for all cruise lines....(please delete if I shouldn't post this). So for all dates listed for 2019 except xmas time they are all marked off. Is there a dry dock scheduled? Help please. thanks

I am sailing on her Jan 27, 2019. Haven't heard anything about cancelling

  5. Our last cruise was on Celebrity for 16 nights. Hands down food on Celebrity in buffet and dining room. I am loyal to Royal, or have been as we prefer the atmosphere and our perks with the Diamond Lounge. Hard to compare one to the other with only one cruise with Celebrity. We did have a C1 cabin booked and didnt expect a band playing above of every sea day and the noise from staff cleaning. Live and learn and enjoy life is short.

  6. Check out Oscar Brown. He puts together tours per your interest, I have used and recommended him for years. Do a google search or tripadvisor and you will find his website. We have ziplined, eco tours, have eaten at breath taking views at a restaurant and shopped for local coffee, just let him know what you want to do.

We just used him on on Celebrity Infinity Panama Canal cruise in Puntarenas. We had an awesome day with him there too. Loved my monkey pictures he was determined I would get to see.

  7. I prefer to not have the bulky plastic cardholder. I have had them punch a hole in my card that doesn't effect the magnetic strip for years.

Who has had trouble with them punching a hole in the card. I wear a slim cord that I attach my card to....... please tell me I won't have to wear a suitcase around my neck ;p

I do not have hubby carry my card so if it isn't hanging on my neck I am not spending money.

  8. I have used Oscar Brown several times over the years. You can contact him at limonense03 at yahoo dot com.

We have used him out of Puerto Limon as well as Puntarenas.

    He does have a website

Depending on how long you will be in port he can take you ziplining and do some other things to.

  9. We had to jump lines to do a Panama Canal cruise. I did like some of the extra touches Celebrity offered. The cold towels getting back on the ship when it was blazing hot, champagne when we boarded were nice as well as the rose in our room. We thought the offerings in the Windjammer/Ocean View Cafe were better on Celebrity. Shows were good and the Elite lounge was nice. I did miss getting coffee from the Diamond Lounge. At some point I will cruise with them again. I believe the Aqua class cabins on the Infinity are the same size as the Concierge class. I would do some research on Celebrity board about Blue. We found that menu didnt fit into our food tastes.

  10. We rented a car and traveled to Punta Sur. The Light House has some amazing views. We actually have visited several times. They reallydid some amazing things, then had the hurricane that sat on the island for daystook all of the progress on the park. They are coming back and the light house is still there and open.

Great place to go if you rent a car is Coconuts on the opposite side of the island from where the ships dock. Great food, awesome view, but not a swimming area. We love it as it really gives you a different type of beach scene then the beaches where you dock.

    Enjoy!

  11. Gang throw in food allergies and your menu items really become challenging.

We recently cruised on Celebrity, our first, and must say the food was what I remembered on our first sailing on Royal in 2004. Our last sailing on the Liberty reminded me of our one and only cruise on NCL. That experience turned me into a believer of Royal. I am on vacation and love the thought of I am not cooking etc, but wondering how far loading salt on stuff will go with people.

Wondering if l book the cheapest cabin on Royal and book specialty restaurant packages, might even out.
