Perhaps, but since they're first flying into the US, they'll need a test a day before the flight. Seems as though you could use the same result for both purposes. I've flown back to the US from foreign destinations twice in the last couple months. The first time, I tested in the airport. Sounds convenient, but then your documents need to be manually reviewed. Standing in that line was extremely time consuming. Last time, I took a telehealth antigen test (Beacon Health in Montreal.) I could then upload the results into the airline's Verifly portal and it couldn't have been easier.
