Deck 5 We got in the long line but when we got closer to the gangway that people coming down the elevator after the process started just walked off the ship not required to get in line. So hang out around the elevator location and dont mess with the line.

We found nothing for Elites on the Edge. There is a small dining area to the left as you enter the Oceanview I think most people think this is reserved area but anyone can use it makes for a quiet meal.

No shade and only Loungers no regular table and chairs. Those 2 shaded areas in the picture are 1 floor up from the pool and the music is very loud up there.

I’m assuming the $5775 is per person.?
NOPE that is total for 2 people.

January 9th 2021 here. Aqua Class A1 Total cost $5775. Includes all 4 perks an extra $150 for onboard booking.
So total $450 OBC.

Went to the Sunset Bar to smoke a cigar. Another gentleman sat down about the same time. We started up a bit of a conversation. He asked how I liked the ship. I said it is totally awesome and still exploring the ship. But I also made some comments of things I found disappointment in. If you check in early there is no organization once boarding starts it is just a mad rush. It was then he introduced himself and asked my name. I told him and he said he would look into it. So I figure he must have someones ear. I mentioned one other thing that we were disappointed in the lack of regular chairs and shade around the pools. He agreed. We chatted for over an hour or so and he kept looking for a text from his wife so he could let her know where he was. With the free and regular internet I guess you have to be on the same internet to get text from the other person. He switched services and told her where he was. A few minutes later his wife arrived and he introduced her. He told her about some of the comments I made about not having a Elite and above lounge like they have a Diamond on Royal. She agreed and said just different company's do different things. Short time after that they left for lunch. I asked the Bar Tender if he knew a Andrea and Lisa Perlo and if they had anything to do with the ship. Well you know what he told me and then my wife did the internet search on them. We enjoyed a cigar together with Andrea again the next day but Lisa was not there. That was our 10th Celebrity cruise and I thought I was doing good knowing once who Capt. Kate was when I met her.

How often is the Magic Carpet open for drinks? How do you get a table on it from Raw on 5? Is it like the riptide on the Oasis ships continually go up and down certain hours? Thanks

What dining venue is on the Magic Carpet?
Dining Venues
Normandie
Fine Cut
Magic Carpet

It is automatic. When you print your pass it will show Diamond. And you will be impressed with the Diamond lounge compared to what Celebrity does in the Elite Lounge or Michael's.

Any signs of the 4000 Swingers left hanging around form the previous week?
-
Just did our first Suite on the Infinity last week. Cabin was a nice size but would of much rather had a walk in shower than the tall tub you had to step into. The Butler is ? didn't really see a need for her. Michael’s Club was a big let down. Nothing like the Diamond Lounge on royal the same for the Elite hour nothing like the Diamond Lounge. We get the drink package so having the drinks at either was no big deal for us. If anything Luminae makes getting the Suite worth it. Go to your meals anytime you want no reservations and fantastic food and service. Order from the either menu the MDR or Luminae or mix from both.

Since I had already paid off an Edge cruise for April of 2019 back in June of 2018 I called about this. They said as a gesture of good faith they would add $100 OBC credit to my account. Never hurts to call and ask.
-
That airfare seems very reasonable yes and will give me something to shoot for.
-
What kind of cabin did you have? Would you have rather had a better cabin or a lesser one?
Just curious apx. cost to fly round trip in the class you did?
-
Please find attached the itineraries for 2020, I don’t see any Cuba intensive voyage.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

We are on the Dec.6th sailing. And there is one other on Dec.1st. So did they move the Dec 3rd sailing to the 1st?

Glad it worked out.
Did you have any issues with flight cancellations?
Keith
Did an edit to original post to address that question.

Our April 2nd Panama Canal on the Infinity was cancelled and this is an update of refunds and such. Every penny was refunded. Refunds were a bit strange various amounts but it all added up to the total costs. We also received a $2090 Future Cruise Credit. The credit has to used on a Cruise which departs before Feb. 1 2019. We have other X cruises booked but not until Feb. 12 2019. So I booked a Suite on a 4 day Bahamas cruise. Cost $2000 so out the $90 but it would have cost me another couple hundred to move up a category to spend the $90. So to recap Full Refund of Panama Canal Cruise,Drink Package,Dining Package. Used the $2000 to get a free cruise. I did have to pay the $209 port charges and taxes. All in All worked out.
Airfare? When I cancelled the non-refundable flights I was glad I had bought Allianz insurance. When cancelling the tickets I did check the box that said cancellation was because of a change the airline had made in the itinerary so I received almost an immediate refund from the airline. Good thing because the Insurance turned down my claim. They said refunds where not good because of Cruise Cancellation. Well already had my refund so not pursuing it.

I just booked three cabins today. We're dong B to B on Dec. 6 and 9 and taking some neighbors. As one is a single lady, she has the single veranda for both segments. Another couple has a veranda for both. We have a veranda for the 6th and a Sky Suite for the 9th. I think this is probably our only shot at experiencing suite class on Edge. The B to B is because I don't think you can experience this whole ship in three nights.
One of the disturbing things is X is being slow to announce details of the ship. For example, the reps can't tell our TA if the suite will have free drinks in the lounge as does Michael's club. There's no info on restaurants with deck plans having large blank areas. I can't believe they are 11 months from launch and still don't have restaurant plans. The X web site is also offering perks during the booking process then saying "oops" when you try to finalize. There are NO perks on these short cruises, not even for suites. I have no idea if beverage packages will even be offered. So we're sort of booking without knowing all the details. But we're still excited. :D
We bought all 4 perks when we booked go BEST. Go Best was $135 each. This is the Dec. 6th sailing.

Why do you say that?
We looked at tacking on the December 6th sailing to our December 9th sailing (changed from the 16th) and to get the same class of our stateroom (AQ), the 3 nights would cost $1200+ per person.
Compare it to the other 3 they added.
-
Supposing someone was went topless but had a sleeved shirt body-painted on? A sleeved shirt tatoo would be too much...
Just on the NUDE and Swinger Cruises.
-
Seems like the December 6th sailing is a BARGAIN.
-
The exception is now. On a June cruise I just bought a 6 night package for $154.00 per person a savings of 45%.

We ALWAYS do the go best. While on the cruise people are discussing the cost of internet the question as to whether to upgrade to the premium package or to buy the package if it was not one of your perks. Why not book go best at the time of booking at have it all included and not worry about it later.
