  1. I would not pay for this. There is nothing listed there thar remotely interests me, let alone pay $25 per day per person for it. Hopefully most won't purchase it either. As someone said, it will an unnecessary "class" system. Also, these benefits have to come from somewhere, less seating in Theatre, less time and more waiting for activities. IMHO it's completely unnecessary.

  2. I have been on both Harmony and Anthem and loved them both. To me they both offer different things. The Harmony is HUGE and feels alittle less crowded than the Anthem. There are more things to do on the Harmony but you won't be bored on the Anthem. Harmony has a better coastal kitchen, but Anthem has 270 which to me is the best feature on any ship. As someone already mentioned, the only thing I dislike is the anthem doesn't have a multi-floor dining room.

  3. I tried looking up this criuse but I couldn't find it. I already have cruises booked for next November from Miami so was considering a switch but I'm sure the pricing I have for my 13 night Navigator/Explorer B2B wouldn't even get me on an inside cabin for this sailing.
It's there I just saw it. Not sure what you paid but it seems reasonable to me.

  4. My husband and I are loyal to Royal (namely, it's the FlowRider because that makes the vacation for hubby...) We don't take tons of vacations, but have been trying to do a Royal cruise about every 2 years. Next year is our 20th wedding anniversary and we want to do something really special! We can't imagine any other vacation being as perfect as a RCCL cruise, but we don't want to just do something plain ol' plain ol'... and we're not millionaires ;) just regular working folks...

If you were looking to take a SPECIAL RCCL cruise in late 2019/early 2020 what would you be considering? I'm thinking repositioning maybe? We tend not to care so much about ports as we do about being on the ocean/on the ship...?? Would love ideas!

The 50th Birthday Celebration on symphony in Nov. might be nice.. Or any ship you like and an upgraded room... A suite perhaps.

  5. As I understand it if we purchase the BOGO 2 night dining package we have to have our reservations on the first two nights which is fine.

The problem is, it does say they select the restaurants but once we get on board we can change them. What happens if the restaurants we want are not available, is this likely? We only want to dine in Chops and Wonderland. Would we get a refund or have to dine in their recommendations?

I did think about waiting until we got on board but then I think we are even more unlikely to get the restaurants we want and would cost us a lot more.

We are travelling on Harmony of the Seas on 18th August, 2018.

    Thanks in advance.

We were on Harmony Dec. 2017. As soon as we boarded we changed our restaurants to Chops and Wonderland for nights 1&2.they will be available but maybe not time you want. We were flexible so it wasn't a problem for us.

  6. No you should not be frustrated. The rules are crystal clear, dinner for Jr suite guests only based on availability. Only an entitled person would be upset for not getting their way and having the rules broken for them. Imagine if the entire ship had that expectation. Sometimes before we get upset we need to reflect and look at the bigger picture, not just at what you want and didn't get. If you got it in the past, be happy about that and don't turn it into an expectation.

  7. First time on Anthem's class and first time sans kids! We will prob have a Spa Jr Suite. We were thinking we don't want to be under the pool (so not Deck 13) and prob not the decks with Adventure Ocean with his running around (decks 11 and 12), so we are thinking something like Deck 9. Any thoughts or other views??
You are right about deck 13, avoid it like the plague. In Nov. we will be in spa jr suite on deck 9. I think as long as there are cabins above and below you, you will be fine.

  8. I've never done this but wondering about the logistics since it might save some money for those without the alcohol package. Do you partially fill the soda cup with flavored seltzer, and then go the bar and buy a shot of vodka and mix yourself? Is there free cranberry juice in the WJ? One could fill a thermos there for later use? Guessing not for a star class passenger but maybe some of us steerage folks lol.
You could do what you suggested but that sounds like too much work while on vacation. Yes there is cranberry juice available in the am.
