  1. I booked through a TA and he is checking on this but I want to ask here....well because yall know more than most. When I log onto RCCL and click my reservation for stateroom it says "Deluxe Guarantee". When I click that it says Suites on Anthem of the Seas it shows a picture of of a junior spa and describes a junior spa. Under the description it says, "deluxe stateroom guarantee" and says you are guaranteed to receive a superior ocean view stateroom. When I click the view button, is says "spa junior balcony suite" and describes a jr balcony suite and once again beneath the description it says you are guaranteed to receive a superior ocean view stateroom. I always thought a superior ocean view stateroom was a balcony not a suite, I could be wrong. Is this how a suite guarantee looks, or should I be very worried that I will be given a balcony instead of suite.

  2. DH and I are considering booking the Mar. 24th Anthem of the Seas in honor of our 25th wedding anniversary. We decided after looking for weekend getaways in various cities and the cruise is a much better value especially since we can drive to the port in less than 2 hours, besides cruising is both of favorite way to vacation. We are thinking of stepping out of our comfort zone (that's an adventure of us...i know i know) and booking a junior suite guarantee or booking a grand suite. Anyone have any experience with junior suite guarantees on the Anthem?

We are also booked on the Thanksgiving sailing of the Anthem in a Spa Junior Suite. We got a really good price and really want to try that room. If we were given a Spa Junior suite in March we would try to upgrade this cruise to a grand suite.

    TIA

  3. We got the WOW bands on Harmony and loved them. My wife and I both work out in the mornings and it's nice not having to carry anything while doing so. I know the card is small and unobtrusive, but it's just one less thing to worry about for us.

Weren't ugly to us as we always wear activity monitors anyway, and those things are by no means fancy. My worrying about what others think of what I look like or what I'm wearing is WAYYYY past.

I also wear a Thin Blue Line band and a RunID band. I'm banded up so one more ain't gonna hurt me.

As I said, worked great for US. We thought they were great and will get them wherever offered, our opinions. And we all know about opinions right?

You can reuse the ones you already have, just go to guest services.

  4. I contacted my TA who was out today but another agent said they would help. We are booked in a JS on the Anthem in Nov. They are offering $350 OBC and free gratuities. At the time I didn't know what we paid. Needless to say both sub TA and the reps she spoke to at RC are both idiots.the TA told me she could make the change but rc wouldn't give me the free champagne and free specialty dining currently on the booking. Insaid that's because it came from your company not them, she said Oh it did? Then she had us both on the phone, the rep had the audacity to ask me when told them about the OBC and free gratuities was I sure I was on the royal website. I was highly offended by this, I can read. I immediately told the TA. It to change a thing and I would take screen shots off my computer for both her and the rep at royal so they will now what customers are talking about when they call and no longer be uninformed. I sent several, the TA thanked me and said she sent them to the rep but got nothing on response. In the end since RC increased the prices for their sale, it will save us $22, which isn't alot but is something. I wasn't going to have either idiot I talked to today make any changes though. She is going to have my ta call me tomorrow.

  5. Okay thank you for confirming. I look at everything the TA can offer me and the fees they charge (if any)

All my family wants is a little OBC and a free specialty dinner for at least 1 night but it seems as if no one can offer that

We transferred our anthem nonrefundable booking to a travel agent that gave us additional on board credit, a bottle of champagne and dinner at the restaurant of our choosing.

  6. We sailed in a Spa Junior Suite on Anthem's inaugural TA. We LOVED this cabin. Spacious, comfortable, tons of storage. Loved the sitting area on the sofa next to the balcony. The walk-in shower was fabulous (I don't do tubs, especially at sea). And, while unnecessary, it was still nice to have that half-bath (although it took me a couple of nights to remember which bathroom I'd put my toothbrush in ;p). Great location on the straight part of the hump, near the elevators.

We loved the SJS so much we have another one booked in February.

  7. I would say that from Scranton, they are definitely driving.

cruiserdudebobby8, pack for normal Bahamas weather, but with extra layers. If it's cool when you leave New Jersey, you can wear a sweat shirt over your t-shirt..

Ohhhh I didn't see the Scranton. If driving you can take alittle more warm clothes for the first day and a half to two days and the last day and not worry about weight of luggage.
