@twangster, thank you very much for this wonderful, informative and entertaining review. Your pictures, as always were awesome as well. I really hope I will be able to go on a Galapagos excursion of my own at some point. Unfortunately for me, now is not that time as obligations on the home front need to take priority. That said, your pictures and descriptions gave me a feel for what my future experience might be like and I thank you very much for that.
You mentioned that you already have another Galapagos cruise booked. Do you mind sharing when that will be so I can follow along with you rather than months later like I’ve done this time? If I can’t go myself right now then following along with you would be the next best thing! Thanks

I couldn’t log in yesterday. Still can’t today. It sure would be nice if someone from corporate would let us know what going on. I’m not getting my hopes up though. I may have to break down and change my password sooner rather than later.

Breath in, breath out. Repeat as necessary. 😂🤣😅🙄
I’m hyperventilating because I’ve done that so many times. 🤣I really don’t want to change my password but I guess I may have to. 😡

Yes, but I’m starting to wonder how far down the road eventually might be! 🤪😂I guess they don’t mind that I can’t log in to make cruise planner purchases. 😂

They still have clear crystal blocks and that’s what I requested and got about 15 minutes ago. Woo hoo!
I don’t think I stand much of a chance of getting a clear block on Allure, but I’m planning to ask anyway. If I don’t ask I’ll never know. Glad you were successful in getting yours.- 2

Fortunately I’ve already done everything I want or need to do on the app. Now I’m hoping everything I did on the app stays done because I can’t log in either. With the way things are going I’m not trusting that everything stays as it should. At least we still have a couple of weeks to go before we cruise.
Edit - I just tried the website and can’t log in there either. 🤷♀️

I’ll be watching for your next review! Hope to see both of you there.

Wow! I would have been a wreck waiting for the office to open! I’m glad that you were able to get your reservation restored! That cruise being cancelled would have seriously disrupted your plans!
Your experience is a good reminder to me as to why I always set my reminders for final payment due at least a week early and recheck the due date frequently. Not that I would ever mix up final payment due dates or anything…..🤣🤪😂🤣🤪😂

Great to see you traveling again, Laurie! I’ve always enjoyed tour trip reports and I’m sure that this one will be just as much fun!
DH and I live near WDW but we’ll be getting ready for our own cruise on Allure so I’m not sure if we will be hitting the parks during the time you’re there. If we do and we happen to see you zipping by we will be sure to stop and say hi.

Excellent picture! Thanks for sharing!
It is also beautiful all lit up at night, though I don't think you are returning to Tampa? If so, that sight is around 2-2:30 am. Gorgeous!
This night owl would most likely be up to see the bridge all lit up at night! 😎 There are advantages to being a night owl 🦉!

Inquiring minds want to know - which of these ships have shower doors and which have shower curtains? What other little details like this do I need to know about before I book us to sail on one of them?

We get our first crystal block on our upcoming Allure cruise! I’m excited to get it.- 1

@perfect match Thank you!! Sorry, no food pics this time. We both went into the ocean and the pool. Both were nice, the pool was heated and wonderful. The ocean was brisk at first but a nice cool down. I would definitely go back especially with the tram from ship to beach and back, that saved my back and feet quite a bit allowing me to enjoy the beach even more
Thatk you for the info Mr. IT!
I’m glad to heat that the pool is heated. For some reason I thought it wasn’t. Maybe I’ll even get my always cold DH in the pool. I will be swimming in both the pool and ocean. 🌞
Glad to hear that the dogs are doing ok. Popcorn is ready. 🍿 🍿
Will you be flying home during the eclipse? Just heard on our local news a while ago that it starts here in Central Florida at 1:46 PM, Max 57% eclipse at 3:03 and wraps up around 4:00 PM.

Great pictures of Coco Cay Beach Club @Mr. IT! Thank you. We will be there in about 31/2 weeks and are really looking forward to it.
Do you by any chance have any photos of your Beach Club lunch? DH is nowhere near the beach fan that I am, but from what I’ve seen so far I think he’ll lie a big fan of the lunch! 😋
Did either of you go in the water, either at the pool or at the beach? I’m wondering how the water temperatures are.
Thanks!
@Dupable, where are you? You’re supposed to be on this sailing virtually like the rest of us that are joining Denversail and Mr. IT from home. It’s not the same without you here!

I’d love to do this cruise! I need to pay more attention to what itineraries are sailing out of Tampa. I haven’t looked ther very often recently. That apparently needs to change!

@twangster, I’ve finally made it here. I wanted to be sure I would be able to savor the experience as I visit the Galapagos through your eyes and your camera lenses. I’m glad I waited. This review is spectacular! I’m here for the rest of this journey.

23 days until we board Allure! We can’t wait to be back on board her!
Thanks for all of the pictures @Mr. IT.
@Denversail, glad you got to see the launch! We can sort of see them from our house but I’ve never seen one from that close before. We had a better view when the Space Shuttles were still in use because they sometimes launched on a different trajectory that came closer to our house.

Have fun on Allure, still Gina's favorite ship.
Thanks, Bill! Hope we end up sailing together at some point. We really enjoyed getting to know you and Gina, also Jon and Penny on Symphony. Seems like that was just yesterday but that was back in 2019! -
Congratulations! 🎉 Enjoy your upgrade. 😎
I cancelled my RU bids on our upcoming Allure B2B. We’re currently staying in the same JS and my only bid for each leg was for a GS. We love the location of our JS and really don’t want to have to move between the two legs of our B2B so we let the minimum bids on the GS go. While having a GS would have been nice we are happy with our decision.

We just got Coco Beach Club for our May 3 Allure cruise for $80.99 per person.
When it first opened I wasn’t interested in paying for it at all. With all the people they’ve packing in onto Coco Cay I decided to give it a try. The price dropped on our cruise last week too.
Keep checking your Coco Cay Beach Club prices! I just went into my cruise planner for a totally different reason and noticed that the price went down to $76.99. Total discount after all of the add ons was $11.00. That’s not a lot of money, but I’ll take it.I was so busy canceling my previous reservation and rebooking at the lower rate that I forgot do do what I originally went there to do! 😂 Guess I’d better go do it!

@Denversail, take a deep breath. Everything is fine. Mr It’s pictures are wonderful.
You’re not cruising for another 5 days. You’ve already got 30 followers. We can’t wait for you to get on the ship and we’ll be there when you do. It will take off then.

We were usually done by about 7:45. Our waiter was very fast. If we ordered two appetizers, he always put them on the table at the same time. I’m not sure if that’s the new procedure or if I was just what he was doing too. Make sure dinner moved along quickly.
yes, that time works really well for us too
Thank you. It would be tight getting to an 8 PM show after dinner but definitely doable. Timing for an 8:30 show would be perfect.
I don’t think there’s much of a chance we’ll see a 6:30 dining time show up on our upcoming Allure cruise at the end of April but maybe on Wonder in September. I’ve already figured out workarounds for show/dining conflicts on Allure at this anyway. I would definitely request the 6:30 dining time slot if it became available.

Have you been able to log into the app yet? Many of us, me included, could only log in after we changed our password. Some people are saying they need to change their password more than once. I haven’t had to do that - yet!
I’m loving the start of your review! Great pictures from Norfolk!
