  1. I haven't said anything... until now. We were in 11200 and the exact same issue!! I managed to isolate the consistent BANGING noise to the upper portion of the wall, behind the curtains, on the forward side of the wall. The noise goes away in calm water, but any medium and worse seas, it returns. Took the issue to guest relations. They sent someone to check it out. Eventually, we were told it was a known issue but could not be fixed until dry dock (on Edge). We didn't sleep for 3 nights!! A small FCC was issued, we were moved to a lesser priced cabin on deck 9. This episode caused us to cancel our next trip on Beyond... and likely will only sail Solstice class ships from now on... if ever again with Celebrity.
  2. I believe it's about 45 days. I leave next week, and I'm pretty sure that the e-docs 'arrived' about 45 days prior to departure.
  3. I'm surprised that this is an issue. Having done a fair number of cruises, we NEVER eat dinner in the 'cafe'. We have always cruised Aqua and so would not give up Blu for the cafe! But that's ok, obviously there are other people who prefer it. Like Jeal, it bothers me about the waste of food - especially what I've seen in Oceanview cafe at the noon hour. Mom always said: "If you take it, you eat it". Sorry to hear your needs are not being met.

  5. When I fist read the title of your thread, my mind jumped to: "WHAT?! CELEBRITY PURCHASED VIRGIN"?! 🤣 😂 We had a few cruises under our belt when we decided we wanted a full 2 week cruise. The best itinerary at the time was 2 weeks on Eclipse (an S-class ship) so we booked Aqua class and had such a wonderful cruise, we booked the same cabin on the same ship with the same itinerary a year later! The Celebrity cruise was superior to the other cruise lines that we had previously sailed with - the difference was demonstrable! We have never regretted it. Since then, we've only sailed Celebrity (always in Aqua class) and have no desire to sail with anyone else! The service, the food, the entertainment (well, sometimes it's 'meh' but never-the-less, we like it), the no smoking policy, and especially the positive attitudes of the crew have kept us returning since 2014. We will sail in Edge class, and in a suite, for the first time next week! I expect we will feel spoiled yet again!
  6. We sail soon on Edge in a SS. We have had two offers from X to upgrade since final payment, the most recent offer was slightly higher than the original offer (the second offer was about 7 weeks to sailing). What I found interesting is that the upgrade path to a Royal Suite, was LESS than the path to a Celebrity Suite! (I will try to add the screen shot here... but my computer skills are slightly less than my cooking skills - I'm sure my DW will agree)! 😇. The price to upgrade from SS to RS was $2020 PP CDN vs $2695 PP CDN to upgrade to CS.
  7. We are Elite and had laundry done on our last cruise. It came back clean, and folded, but all items were wrinkled so much that we couldn't wear them! I guess (in this case) they must have been left in the dryer for an extended period of time! DW has taught me well! Never leave the laundry in the dryer! 😂
  8. We realized that if the server/waiter who came to our seat brought us the martini, it was the smaller glasses. Apparently, THEY made the martini. However, if you were served by the martini bar staff (who do WONDERFUL shows), they prepared the martini and it was in the larger, Reidel glasses.
  9. Are you trying to use "Manage Cruise" to get to excursions? I just tried that and it doesn't work. You have to (assuming that you are logged in) 'Plan My Cruise' to get to excursions.
  10. We booked an excursion 4 days ago (Nov 19). I just checked to see if the price had changed, and it's the same as we paid.

  13. Interesting and well done report! Thanks. I'm looking forward to experiencing Edge in January. I have been with Starlink for almost 2 years now (located in the remote area of south eastern BC) and just did a test a minute ago (151 Mbps down/11.37 Mbps up, latency 57 ms) so I'm also surprised at the slower speeds in your review! Any ideas as to why?
