  1. A penthouse suite passenger in another group who was posting live from the first sailing confirmed that the Enclave is included for suite passengers at no charge. He knew this because he used the Enclave.
  2. Not sure why the other thread was locked but starting a new one for general discussion about this brand new ship. Live threads are great but are only one person’s perspective and not a place to be having lots of questions and discussions that detract from their experience.
  3. Looks nice. Someone in another forum said the Enclave is included for Signature Collection suites.
  4. Have always wanted to do that tower experience. We had it booked several years back but they cancelled it day of because of bad weather.
  5. This is my number one question. As well as a confirmation of the exact pricing for cabanas in the Sanctuary and how all that works with suite guests vs. paid guests and capacity/reservations.
  6. Some of us like to see the food, especially when it’s a new ship with new dining venues.
  7. Maybe we shouldn’t be gatekeeping his posts before he’s even posted any ship related content? 🙄
  8. It’s not about being “special”, it’s about paying more money and getting more amenities in return. I mean airlines have had classes of service for like forever, hotels have suites with different amenities, the more expensive the car is that you buy it either is made of higher grade materials and/or has more included features…that’s just the way the world turns. Why fault people for being able to afford something you apparently can’t or choose not to spend money on? This ship was designed with these suites and exclusive areas so it’s not like it was already operating and then they took areas away from everyone to access and restricted them to suite guests only. Don’t like it then pick a ship or a cruise line that doesn’t have areas of the ship restricted to certain cabin categories.
  9. Could also be a sea day/port day price difference like the difference in the Sanctuary entry price.
  10. That doesn’t make sense though. The suite breakfast on this ship is held in the Signature restaurant. That venue doesn’t exist on the other ships and yes is held in a specialty restaurant. To say that this was “not the specialty menu” is obvious because that specialty suite breakfast is not offered on Sun, it’s only in the Signature restaurant.
  11. I keep seeing conflicting info. Someone onboard Sun posting in another group said the cabanas were $400.
  12. Ew. They still have smoking in the casino? I've been sailing mainly with Celebrity since 2013 so I've become so used to a smoke-free casino.
  13. Well, not to nitpick but you said "I'm gonna venture a guess that the menu shown was NOT the suite breakfast menu, or at least not the Specialty Menu" so you were saying what I was posting wasn't true... Anyway, with all the nickel and diming the cruise lines are doing I think we all should not be surprised to see things that were once included now become fee items. If you have a beverage package though it should cover the mimosas if they are now a fee item would it not? I don't know the limits of all the different packages.
  14. The person who shared the photo is in a Penthouse Suite on Sun and it was from dining in the Signature restaurant. And the menu literally says Signature Collection at the top and bottom…
  15. So the Milky Way is basically just a mudslide (non-frozen version) without the cream.
  16. I think Princess weighed the options. It was either delay the ship for yet another sailing (or several) and have to refund a whole slew of passengers after they already did that twice before, losing a ton of revenue and creating a lot of ill will with passengers and bad press for the delay. Or they just launch the ship as is with unfinished areas and issues that are all temporary, give some small credits out and deal with some disgruntled passengers onboard some of whom might complain on social media. I can see why they chose the latter from a business perspective. Doesn’t make it a great time for the passengers onboard and I feel for them but Princess had to make a business decision they felt was best. And some of the issues experienced onboard like the flooding were totally unexpected and just bad luck on top of the unfinished venues. I imagine that if all these issues stem from shipyard-related delays that Princess should be able to recoup money from them or have a potential lawsuit on their hands against the shipyard.
  17. I am seeing posts from someone on the Sun right now in another group who is in a Penthouse Suite. Breakfast menu is the same everyday. Unclear whether it is the same as Reserve or MDR. Lunch menu unclear if it is the same each day. Someone in that forum recognized the menu items as being the same as what they had in MDR on one of the other ships recently. Dinner menu changes nightly but it is unclear whether it is the same or different than MDR or Reserve. I’m sharing images below. Maybe someone can tell if the dinner menu looks the same as a recent MDR menu. (Photos from Mitch M.)
  18. So I am seeing some information posted on that site that shall not be named from someone who is currently on the Sun that conflicts a bit with info posted here before. While they do confirm the fee for the Sanctuary is $99pp for non-suite guests, they said cabanas are $400 not $500. They also said that currently only suite guests are being allowed in the Sanctuary and it will not open up for paying guests until June. Not sure why. Maybe they want to test usage/capacity with just suite guests first? If it was constantly full then would that mean they might nix access for paying guests altogether?
  19. According to the video below The Signature dining room has a menu that is exclusive for suite guests; a staff member at Signature says that specifically.
  20. The Sanctuary area looks fantastic...but...where's the shade??? I didn't see an umbrella in sight and very little covered areas, and where there was covering there were no loungers. Anyone know how much a cabana costs? Can those be booked in advance or only onboard?
  21. Maybe just book an Uber back and forth. Maybe you can even do Uber Reserve (not sure if it’s offered everywhere) and have your Uber booked in advance. Will probably cost $40-50 each way. Kennedy Space Center itself can be done on your own. Just some things there (certain tours, etc.) that are recommended to book in advance as they can sell out.
