I was on an Oasis cruise during Yeshiva several years ago.  While we didn't have unruly children issues, it was very crowded.  Are Yeshiva cruisers only on Oasis or Quantum class ships?  We are looking at a Mariner 5 day in late January 2024 and it has limited cabins available.  Could it be for Yeshiva or are there other school holidays in late January?  Trying to figure out why the limited availability.  We can cruise whenever we want to, so would like to avoid the crowds.

We were on Freedom this past January on a B2B and had lots of Yeshiva kids on the 4 night.  They were fine, but it was crowded

  2. I have severe arthritis and use a walker sometimes, a wheelchair sometimes, and sometimes I do well enough to use just a cane.  We try to always book sic months to a year out to make sure we get an accessible cabin.  We are booked with a group in October out of New York and no accessible rooms to be had when we booked in February.  The TA is keeping a look out for us, but my balance is very bad and I've been known to fall in a shower, not to mention having room if I have to bring my wheelchair.  I know Royal will get me a shower chair, but I won't be able to rent a scooter.

I am also a current cancer patient on oral "chemo" my onc said as long as I use caution, mask and sanitize she is ok with me going.  I will admit I'm getting a little nervous with the rising cases. I did just get my 2nd booster in hopes this will help. But I am in desperate need of a vacation

This is my husband.  He's been on Oral Chemo since  the lockdown and his oncologist is very supportive of us doing whatever he feels up to doing, as long as we follow precautions.  We've been on two cruises since August and have three more between now and November, including a 9 day one in June on the Getaway from Copenhagen.  We see the Oncologist Wednesday and I'm asking for a prescription of the antiviral drug to take with us should he come down with it.  We are both vaccinated and double boosted.

  4. My favorite memory was flying to my first cruise 30 years ago.  We were flying to San Juan and it was 1992 and they were celebrating the Columbus Flotilla.  As we were flying in, thousands of sailing boats were coming out of San Juan Harbor.  None of the cruise ships were in their normal places because the Tall Sailing ships were in the Old San Juan Berths.  It was a spectacular sight.

Does anyone know if you can use leftover FCC for upgrades? I have searched all the FAQ’s and it does not say one way or another?

it looks like I am booking a Bermuda cruise for the end of May using my FCC, I am going solo and when I had booked a balcony originally there was the 200%  solo supplement. The supplement seems to be less and I can either book a balcony and have a few hundred left over which the only think it looks like I can do with the remainder is pre book excursions. Or book a club balcony for about the same amount of my FCC. I was just wondering if I booked the balcony and then could use any leftover for upgrades?

The club balcony suite just seems like more then I need for myself.

I just did this yesterday.   They had  given us about $2000 FCC from canceling St. Petersburg and we used some of it to Upgrade to the Haven 2 bedroom suite.  Still have some left, not sure if I can have it applied as OBC or not.

  6. Hubby likes to play poker, Ultimate Texas Hold'Em, and Craps.  I only spend $100 a night on a cruise. If I win, I pocket the money, if I lose, I lose.   After our cruise on Ovation to Alaska last September, we were each offered a free 5 night inside room, which we combined for an ocean view 5 night on Mariner in December.  Now, we have been both sent free 3-5 night inside rooms.  We are doing a Back to back on Navigator in August, a 3 night, then a 4 night in a Promenade room (hey, its a window!).  But I think we are small potatoes.

Visby is a "last minute" addition to my cruise itinerary to replace St. Petersburg, but no tour options available through cruise line.  An internet search has yielded very little in the way of tours, bumping this to see if anyone has tried any excursions here that they would recommend.

Having the same problem.  I have found this, which is helping a bit.  We will probably just see on our own.

Someone suggested perhaps they are moving families to certain areas.
Those of you impacted, if you received a letter, or were moved, would you mind sharing the following?

    • Was your reservation only 1 or 2 adults in the cabin?
    • Does your reservation include children under vaccine age (11 under)
    • does your reservation include teens 12+
    • Is your reservation during holiday and US school vacations (higher occupancy with families on board)  Nov-Jan,

Trying to make sense of any logic (of course, when have we expected logic?)

          Thanks!

2 adults, handicapped accessible that had a connecting door to a regular room

    no children

    no teens

  9. We did the Artisocat one several years ago.  They were awesome!  We had to travel by van to where they dock and they even arranged the van for our group.  Just wasn't enough time at Jost Van Dyke, in my opinion.  Next time we go, we are just going there.

Not many medications come in a liquid form - NCL should not be bothered by pills ointments liquids but the

TSA keystone cops you never know i.e. liquids over 3 ounces may pose a problem - but if you need the

liquid medication while traveling on a flight only bring less than 3 ounces and place the rest in your checked

    baggage.

Any unusual circumstances medications best check with the TSA for traveling by air.

One further thing to note - - - Marijuana in liquid form would be testing things to the limits CAUTION !

You would be surprised what comes in liquid form.  I have had no problem bringing liquid meds with me on planes.  I always tell TSA, they sometimes swab the bottles, sometimes not.  I have a digestive problem that makes pills being absorbed difficult, so some of my meds are liquid form, especially narcotics.  But I've never taken liquid marijuana.  I have taken CBD oil to Europe and Back with no repercussions, as well as a cruise or two.  (didn't declare it, they didn't take it)
