How do you know what level you are ? My wife/I got an invite on our last cruise she signed up and we never heard anything.
-
I'm with ya! Cocktails, casino and if it's football season NCAA on Sat or NFL on Sunday in Casino Bar. I'm pretty much a degenerate. But it's my vacation.. I meet a lot of great people on sea days.
I am with you two, I love beer and sports so much I will even watch soccer as long as the beer is cold.
-
I thought I read somewhere that only certain ships were part of the program and Reflection was not 1. We have a cruise coming up and were wondering if it has been added yet.
-
Ex Infantry - dig trench - sleep in trench. I would of killed to sleep in that cabin especially when on exercise in Canada in the winter
-
When the ice bar and casino bar had lineups 12 deep on the Reflection around dinner time or after shows I would just run over to MC and grab myself a beer out of the cooler, great feature.
-
Seriously ? Why not go flag someone down 10 mins. into the wait? Stuff happens, I would of gone and asked about our waiter 10 mins in and it would not even frazzle me. Your on a cruise on a major cruise line, not on a private 100 foot yacht. I would of been thrilled to get the dinner comped.

Thanks for all the replies, I tried all the suggestions and finally just called. They unlocked my reservation and then when I tried to get in a bit later it was locked again. However yesterday X sent me a email to book specialty restaurants and it had a link, guess what now I can get in, I guess if you click on a link that means $$ to X they let you in. :)
-
I know you can't purchase a dining package for these X-Mas cruises, but do they have deals on board for dining or are they pretty much booked?
We are booked on the Reflection Dec. 21st and the only specialty dining available is the Lawn Club, the Holiday Murano and Sushi on 5. We want to book dinner each night in a specialty rest. do they open these up closer to sailing ?
-
I see my reservation online but every time I click on Cruise Planner I get the error "To protect your privacy the booking has been locked. Please wait 20 minutes and try again....."
Is this because I booked via TA ? Or is this a X website problem ?
Thanks

Thanks - I will just get a 7 dinner package and buy lunches as needed.
-
Planning on a 7 day on the reflection, is the Lawn club Grill open for lunch everyday or just sea days ? Also if your cruise is 7 days can you buy say a 12 dinner package and use some of the "credits" for lunches at LCG or The Porch ?

I view it as a more fun daily activity than the LeVian diamond unveiling or similar events :)
Your joking right ? The LeVian diamond unveiling is usually the highlight of the cruise !!
[what's a Levian Diamond unveiling?]

I think you totally lucked out. Last year in the Luminae restaurant we met two different couples during our cruise who had purchased a guarantee sky suites and ended up with accessible suites which they were very unsatisfied with.
My wife and I did a Suite GTY and were assigned a S1, I went online and changed the cabin to a corner aft S1 loved it.
-
When I get on board I don't want any more hassles including shopping around for dinner bargains, it is my vacation, I don't want to start if off by worrying about saving $30 over a 4 night dinner package, so I book and pay for everything in advance. To each their own though, I know some people enjoy that type of thing.
-
I would be perfectly happy never leaving the ship, my wife loves to go and see things. So we compromise we normally book 2 excursions on a cruise 1 for me, something historical or informative and 1 for her usually snorkeling, the rest of the time we stay on board.

I already got burned in my younger years buying new electronics at high prices only to either see them disappear [laser discs] or drop by about 400% in price [CD Players], now I just wait until the initial rush is over, I can wait a couple of years to sail the Edge, hopefully prices come down to a reasonable level.
-
We booked a S GTY a couple of years ago, we were assigned a S1, I immediately went online and grabbed a corner aft S1 on the reflection, we loved it

Here are some of the changes I have been reading about here on CC
1. Basically the food is inedible and they apparently allow children onboard.
2. If you don't actually take the cruise you won't get any CC points.
3. Lots of chair hoggers, get out and reserve your chair at 0400 sharp or don't bother going to the pool
4. No good steaks onboard on ANY ship.
I am sure there have been a few more changes but those are the highlights, so if you are a very lite eating vegetarian that likes to sit by the pool at 5 AM you should have a great cruise otherwise forget about it. Try and enjoy your cruise now.

Last month I had an emergency requiring me to cancel a Delta flight to PA. My fare was paid in full and it was a non-refundable ticket. My seat was then resold to another soul needing to get to PA. By your way of thinking, are you suggesting that I call Delta and ask to receive the sky miles that would have been awarded to me had I taken the flight since I essentially paid for them? And when they refuse, I should then seek out another airline? It just doesn't work that way, my friend.
No you should call Delta 3 or 4 times asking about the Sky Pesos and when they refuse to give them to you post on FlyerTalk about why you will never fly them again. The people over there make the people on this board look tame.

I literally JUST got my Chase Sapphire Reserve card yesterday, so I obviously don't have any points yet. However, I did log in to explore the Chase portal and when I click on Cruises, I just see a message saying "No offers are currently available. Please search a different destination or name." whether or I leave the search field blank or no matter what I type in for a destination.
I actually sent them a message about that, have not heard back yet. I travel every week for work and figure I will have about 170,000 points when it is time to book my next cruise, that is about 2,500 off of the price of a cruise just doing what I have to do each week anyway.
-
Can't they just get online and pick any cabin in that class ? That is what we did on Celebrity last year booked a Sky Suite GTY was assigned a S1 I went online and switched to a cabin I liked better, aft corner S1.
-
So what if I am just friends with the people in the connecting Concierge room? Should they get into Luminae and Michaels also? Or what if they are my niece and nephew instead of my children? Does that make a difference? Should that make a difference? On my upcoming cruise I have the CC room right next to a suite. If I am paying the same $$ for the CC cabin as the people are for their kids why should they get the perks and I don't? Because they're related and I'm not?
If I buddy up to those folks can I follow them into these venues?
How far do we stretch the perks??
I'm sorry, but it is just not fair for people in connecting cabins to get the same perks as those paying for the suites regardless of whether they are your children, your friends, or your relatives. I don't think the fact that the cabins are connecting is relevant at all. My opinion.
100% agree with this.

Last time we were on the Sun I thought we ate in the Italian Rest. we are booked on the Dawn and I do not see where the separate restaurant is listed as a Suite Benefit on NCL?

Now I'm waiting for a balcony smoker to chime in that they are very careful where they dispose of the butts....of course if someone does chime in here their comments are nonsense and hold zero credibility...because they are balcony smokers that blatantly break rules!!!!!! They have no credibility!!!!
Sent from my iPad using Forums
So you have never blatantly broken the rules ? Never looked at a Speed limit sign that said 60 MPH and did not care you were going 65? If you have by your own perverse logic you should really stop posting here as you have zero credibility
Price dropped but travel agent MIA
