I think you can make it work.  I believe there is a special needs form you can fill out and email to Carnival, and then when you board, talk with the maitre’d about your restrictions.  Ask for any sauces to be served on the side, if at all.  All vegetables well cooked.  EM

Thank you.  Yes, vegetables can be well-cooked and that is pretty easy.  I appreciate the info about the maitre'd and I'll look for the form.  I eat beef or chicken but with no spices or sauces.

  2. I have a high sensitivity to spices and cannot eat any fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, or any dairy products due to the possibility of bacteria. I'm thinking this may be too challenging.  I'd really like to cruise, have cruised before I developed this issue, but never cruised since this issue.  Should I just forget it and cancel OR do you think I can find a suitable menu while cruising?  Anyone have experience in this arena?

Them seem to have to work in Miami until they get experience and are successful and than can if approved work from home.

Good ones who book lots of cabins do very well financially but to get established can be a very stressful position.

Yep, the good sales reps make a lot of money.

  4. I am truly sorry this happened to you and your family.  I do know RCL has a care team and you might ask RCL if there was supposed to be someone assigned to you and your family to assist you through your process which I'm sure would have been a great relief to you and your family.

We were so excited to set sail on our first ever cruise with a great social group we are affiliated with. We set sail out of Tampa, FL on 2/8. 24 hours into our trip my husband fractured his leg on the sports court. We were “treated” ( I use that term loosely because they just did an xray and splinted his leg) and were charged almost $1,200 for this. They “treated” us down in medical and sent us back up to our room for the night, we were then forced off the ship the next morning on 2/10 (19 hours after the accident) where we were taken by ambulance to the local Cozumel hospital and were told by the cruise line that the doctor had to clear us in order to get back on the ship. Long story short the doctor did not clear us to get back on the ship because my husband needed surgery on his leg. Royal Caribbean took it upon themselves to pack all of our belongings up without getting permission from us (this alone was very violating). We were stuck in Cozumel by ourselves with zero support from Royal Caribbean and we had to find transport back to the states in order for my husband to get surgery. We were stuck in Cozumel for 3 days prior to having to pay out of pocket for an air ambulance back to Tampa. Hard lesson learned from our end to ALWAYS buy travel insurance. But also shame on Royal Caribbean for zero support to their customers. I am now having to fight to get some money back since we only were on the ship for 2 days. Also side note the ship returned to port a full day before we were able to get back. My question is, how bad does an injury have to be for Royal to medivac someone off their ship. Thankfully my husband and I had the support of friends and family and were able to return to the states but I know there are people in this world that would have been stuck for much longer. Not sure I will ever cruise with Royal ever again

I'm sorry that happened to you but yes, travel insurance is a must. I'm surprised to hear RCL did not have Care Team support for you during your stay and provide support assistance (not pay for) to you. I am aware they have very good Care Team training and support and I'm sorry if that was not provided to you.  Hopefully your husband is recovering nicely.

You had full access to your bill on the ship. You needed to resolve the charge on the ship.

A CC dispute accuses the vendor of a criminal act.

How sure are you that it is an overcharge versus you not understanding the total cost of the spa treatment including automatic gratuity?

Guest Services onboard said I would receive an email copy of my account within 3 days...that never happened.

Two separate emails with nice "auto" response but again, no copy of account.

Finally phone call to RCL resulted in email copy of onboard account (handled very professionally by agent).

Spa charges are questioned because I was given two treatments as a birthday gift so I did not purchase directly and I did not have the receipts (but now I have obtained them from the gift givers)

Contacted RCCL and again, two very nice agents that each transferred me to another number where I was finally told that I needed to email the spa directly for any questions relating to the charges in questions. I have done that and received a very nice auto response. Hopefully they will be able to resolve.

You call your credit card company to dispute the charge once it's actually been billed to you. Cant dispute until you are actually billed and it's been thru the complete billing cycle so its billed to your card. Mlre than likely they would write it off which affects your numerical value with the cc. They have a cut off value where they have decided it's not worth the salaries of people to write to the merchant, wait the number of days for them to reply and all that stuff. Probably around $100. That's why above I asked how much you are disputing.

    Thank you.

This is the Pysecond post on this topic

she was charged the “service charge” and told it was not gratuity, then she paid gratuity on top of that

    Nothing to dispute really

I was asking "how to dispute" as I have the two receipts and I did have only two treatments. A $95 charge from spa is listed on my account for??

I don't know what your dispute is, but on 2 separate cruises they charged me for the beach towel and I called their CS department and they quickly took care of it and refunded the charge.

You can also dispute it with your credit card company even though the charge posted and cleared. But, I would try RC direct first.

    $95 overcharge in Spa

  10. How do I dispute a charge after the cruise and after my credit card payment was completed.  It took me a while to get a copy of my bill, 2 emails and finally a phone call that resulted in my copy.  On the ship was told that an email with charges would be sent within 3 days (that never happened).  So now is it over a month since my cruise and I'm still dealing with trying to get this issue resolved.  Any advice?

Sea days can be more expensive for the same service while in port.  Tip is always included in the price and goes directly to the tech providing the service.  We made that mistake once and have learned from it.  We always give an extra tip personally to our spa tech but not double of the initial percentage.

Neither of my treatments were "sea days"....both in port.

  12. Finally got a copy of my bill from RCL.  Since both of my spa treatments were gifts, I didn't have a copy of the payment but am working on getting it as it appears I am being overcharged approximately $95.  Since I can no longer see the Spa menu, maybe someone with a current reservation can look at the Spa choices and see if there is an upcharge for specific days and/or times.  I do know another cruise line will advertise a price and then when you select a time that is where you see the upcharge.  Since I did not pay for nor select time, I can't confirm this to be true on RCL.  Does anyone know?

  13. -Still waiting for my email copy of my onboard account. Sent a 2nd request.  As of today, 2/7, nothing. I hate to think this BUT if they overcharge every account by even $5 that is some serious change!! Once you pay your credit card charge I don't believe there is anything you can dispute AND I fear you will never get anywhere with RCL if you are challenging any amount on your card.

REMINDER:  Check your account BEFORE you leave the ship. I believe you can only do this on the APP as guest services won't provide a hard copy.  Once you leave the ship, the app info cannot be accessed.  Lesson learned!

    Unfortunately the answer is No

The reason I asked is because I just got off RCL Allure and the casino was open when they were at their private island but I guess Princess Cay is really part of Eleuthra and that is the reason they wouldn't be allowed to be open...just guessing.

I have not gotten a casino pre-cruise survey , but I think that my comments might help improve the casino experience for me.  Less smoke would be good.  Better bar service would also help -- half the time I want a drink (a soft drink for me), I walk to the nearest bar because there is no cocktail server in sight. More hand-shuffle, fewer continuous shuffle machines.  I spend a lot of time in the casino, and have lots of helpful suggestions which I make in the post-cruise survey.

No smoke would be a plus.  Just got off RCL Allure and they have a separate non smoking casino however it is relatively small but it was really nice being able to breath and not smell of smoke

So my wife and I have a pretty big anniversary coming up (our 25th) and we're thinking about doing a cruise of the British Isles. So far we've done 16 cruises, all in the Caribbean and mostly 7(ish)-day cruises on Carnival.

The cruise we're looking at would be August of 2025 on the Miracle. Which, we love the Spirit-class ships, so that's a plus for us. It's 9 days with stops in Cobh, Holyhead, Liverpool, Douglas on the Isle of Man, an overnight in Greenock and then one last stop in Belfast.

We've never been to England before at all and are just wondering how different this cruise would be from what we're used to. Will the food and activities on board be more or less the same? Or will we notice some big differences?

Also, if anyone has any insights to offer on those ports, I'd love to hear them. I literally have no idea what to expect from this cruise in any way.

    Thanks!

Caribbean cruises have a lot of "outdoor" on-ship time where British Isles can be very cold but IMO it is worth it!

  17. Is an automatic gratuity added to special dining?  I've experienced on "another brand" where the person providing the service stated an automatic "service charge" is automatically added but not the gratuity.  I felt I was conned into giving them an additional tip and I just want to know other opinions.  I don't have any objection to giving a direct "in hand" tip to someone that provided exceptional service.

check your spam/junk folders. when i got of the radiance last week my final bill got sent to that folder. for some reason thats the only emails from royal and that goes to the spam folder

Checked spam regularly and "nothing".....!  I just need to see what happened with my spa charges. Two treatments, one with receipt that stated "service charge" and when I asked she said that was a "vendor charge" and NOT the tip.  I added 20% for tip but now realize I was "had" as the second treatment next day, no receipt and she told me that tip is included.  Both of these treatments were prepaid gifts.
