A few thoughts on Beyond As I had shared we had sailed Edge and Apex so this class of ship was not new to us. I will say that the Beyond make some nice changes and additions. Martini Bar At first we didn’t think we liked it in the middle but about half way through we decided we did. The end where the bar use to be is a nice raised sitting area where we sat almost every night watch and listening to the going ons of the Bar. Each afternoon and evening there was good entertainment with an occasional performance from one of the theater entertainers. Never had an issue getting a seat . The service was outstanding. Sunset Bar I really liked the changes and the way it was set up. The tiering of the levels very nice. Little cabanas, nice. two issues were… 1. Ok you already know so I won’t go on and on, but the bar service was unacceptable. I did save a lot of tip money! 😂 2. The daily music that was piped in was so bad. futuristic and unlistenable. Repetitive sounds that just beat your head in. Oh, one last thing. The live music was almost always at 5:30. People are moving towards getting ready for dinner. We set sail at 4 most days, why not music during sail away ( only done when leaving Ft Lauderdale) or short afterwards? Ship Entertainment in a word outstanding! The artist they brought on to the cast shows were fantastic. The technology the theater uses adds another dimension. We did not watch any production shows (except the rehearsal day 😂) in Eden but did listen to entertainers there. Love the view! I just wish they would light up the tail at night like Equinox did. Specialty Restaurants Never had a bad meal. Exceptional service. The only challenge was the Fine Cut kitchen. They had some issues with cooking and timing but it didn’t ruin the night because the staff was amazing! Love love the Roof Top Grill. The weather was very nice every time we are there. Barbie did convince me that La Voyage wasn’t outstanding. The food and service was good. For $75 PP I may not buy it but as I shared it was included in the Specialty Dinning package we had purchased. The best by far was Eden! Amazing food and wine along with some of the best service. Worth every dollar if it was the only restaurant you purchased for a special occasion. Resort Deck To be honest we did not spend a lot of time here. I will say I do like the enlarged area and pool. Some of the sitting areas were lost on me. Wasted space, not seeing a lot of people use it. The cabanas facing the pool was a great change. Never saw, well once, people using them. Mostly DJ musics but at times a solo entertainer did perform. more to come….

We found last year on Reflection a lot of work going on. I know it’s a working ship and you have to keep up with it, but during the “early” morning a lot of banging and scraping. This morning having coffee on the balcony a wall of water comes pouring down on our deck right in front of us. We both jumped up and pushed the chairs back just missing us. just didn’t like to wake up that way! ☕️ Cheers!

Just returned from the gym and had a view of the new port area they have been working. With all the ships last week we could not see it. Pics are a bit dark because I took them through the window. Cheers!

Good Morning from Nassau! This place is empty. Compared to last week when it was a record breaking day for the port. current view Looked this up and a multi billion involved in casinos owns it. Last night was a great sail away and dinner was at Lawn Club Grill. it was a good meal with good service. The weather was fantastic. It’s all on board at 2 PM so staying on board. We were just ran off our balcony with pouring water coming onto the balcony from above!😡 more to come…. Cheers!

We did have to wait, but you are correct, I am amazed how hot it is here. No complaints for those in snow, but we had to find shade. more comfortable in the terminal. Cheers!

Alright we have landed at the Sunset Bar on Reflection. I’ll sum up my thoughts on Beyond a bit later, but I have to share the transfer story of this morning. I can sum it up as a Sh** Show! 😡 Was told to meet in the theater at 9 AM. Was there 5 minutes before and the place was empty. The Kyle the activity director walks in asking if he could help us. Yes, here for the transfer. I already took the transfers off the ship. 🙄 just go down to the transfer area, someone will be there. Don’t get on the airport transfer, ask for the local transfer. Got it. We pick up the luggage and go across to where, I would say, 200 people are in line to get a transfer. I walk up to the front and ask the lady about getting to Reflection. She says bring your bags up here so I can keep an eye on you for the van. ok, we are here. Two big buses pull up and it’s like herding cats. No one knows what is going on. They work to load the two buses. An hour later they are loaded now it’s time to get our van. We are the only two transferring. At this point I ask if I should just take a cab. No come with me. We load in and are told we have to stop at terminal 18 to pick up some people then on to Reflection. Bottom line an hour and a half to get transferred! I’ll take a cab next time!!! 🙄😂 now back to relaxing. Cheers!

Good “early” morning from Ft Lauderdale. I was up and for the first time watched us sail in! On the way in saw our next ride. We had a great afternoon yesterday. Went to craft social and watched golf. While there met a very nice couple from Florida who live close to Bay Hill where the golf tournament is being held. They had their Bay Hill garb on. I mention craft social because we really never spent time their but it was very nice. Dinner was at Raw on 5. Not a lot since we had some snacks in the afternoon at craft social. Went to the cast production show and really enjoyed it. The place was packed. The technology used during the show is amazing. Afterwards it was back to the Martini bar where the big light was out! 🙀 last year when we sailed during Covid and sitting on Apex we look at the walls in the Martini Bar and said this looks like mask. Put Barbie to bed and went to the Casino to burn some OBC. Not a great night but a good night. The tables were not full but great people. Onto Reflection, will pick up the story later today. Cheers!

It was just called Premium Wine Tasting. Our wine steward in Fine Cut brought it up. I would ask a wine steward when you go to dinner. it was held in Tuscan in the afternoon with some outstanding cheeses. The wine selection changes but here are the ones we tasted. The pours are nice and there is more given. Cheers!

Out shopping and found nothing so Casino here I come! 😂😂 Money there you go! 🙄 While shopping we ran into Captain Kate, this Captain can market! She is signing ships! Working behind the counter! Then she was off for the “Bug” trivia appearance. Really don’t get that one. Back to my Tito’s! Cheers!

Ripheus, Enjoy your time on Beyond! We have been sailing on her for the last 14 days. It is an outstanding ship. I have posted a lot about the ship on a thread 47 days and 3 ships. Take a look since I do mention the specialty dinning and some of the crew. We are departing tomorrow to make room for you and heading over to Reflection for a couple of weeks. Continuing getting organized for departure. During the process I learned something. Celebrity is providing a terminal to terminal transfer for us tomorrow! 👏👏 I asked about it because last year we took a cab since no transfers were offered. Guest Relations said they suspended during Covid. Great service Celebrity! Thanks!! 😀 Cheers!

Here is an observation I wanted to share. When we tendered yesterday they did not use the Magic Carpet. The tenders loaded from the top of the tender so they used the port side to load. I was looking forward to seeing the Magic Carpet in use but didn’t happen. Cheers!

Morning from the 8th deck on our last day on Beyond. Started last night at the Martini Bar ( what’s new) with great musics again. Meet I Komang, best Martini Bar server! He is 34 years old and married to a 20 year old. He actually smiled when he told us that, 😂 Dinner was at Fine Cut. Again the food was very good and service perfect. Our waiter Aryasa went to another restaurant and got Barbie French onion soup! Meet Maryna, she met us each night over the last two weeks with a warm smile and welcome! While at dinner Captain Kate in he Jimmy Choo heels hopped up on the bar for her weekly pour! I have great video from last week I’ll post when home. Tried here but it won’t load. After dinner it was back down to the Martini Bar for the Latino dance party. oh, when we got back to the cabin guess what was waiting! Yes we have to deal with this to make our transfer to Reflection. After organizing for the transfer we will be hitting the stores. $427 of OBC to spend there or the casino tonight! 🤪 Cheers!

A great day on Grand Cayman! look at that lady sitting in the water! We found a store by Guy Harvey! If you have not checked his shirts out you need to. Great material and sun protection. I bought one in St Kitts on our first leg and two more today. They are actually using his painting on the front of NCL ships now. Beer at Hard Rock while shopping. The return trip on the tender was a breeze. We are back in two weeks and I am supposed to swim with sting rays but it took an hour from when we left the cabin to when we stepped on land. We have to meet at 8:15, thinking about it. For all the questions about bar service in Grand Cayman…. The pool bar was open, the fastest I’ve seen these guy move, but there was an incident that I didn’t like. There were two bar tenders at the time and I would say a good amount of people waiting to be served. A lady at the other end of the bar says ( in not a mean way) we are down here too. The bar tender turns around and says “ there’s two of use and 50 of you”. It could have been I’ll be right with you or something better than that. I said to Barbie, if that was said to me there would have been an officer with a lot of braids on their shoulders having a conversation with me. Walked by Al Bacio and what have they done to the lemon tarts! They are huge and have even more toppings! I will have to try one! 😂 Here’s an issue. We were sitting just next to the pool bar having a cocktail. One guy went down hard and another caught himself spilling his drink because they missed the step! need to get ready for the night……more to come! “Chic night” Cheers!
