I am still confused! LOL - so I get 'some' of the perks but not all of them (on the Brilliance?) - how does one know? Why would this one perk be 'different'?

Is that 'written' somewhere? which ships have this perk? How do I find that information? Thanks

Thanks so much - I thought I read somewhere that internet access was now included/one device for each guest? Is this correct? ...and I assume information on private breakfast/lunch seating and hours of evening 'snacks' would be provided onboard?

How far/easy a walk was it from the cruise terminal to the waterfront station to get the Canada Line to YVR? Was it busy? Crowded? How much luggage did you have? 🙂

How about the return trip to YVR using the Skytrain - at the waterfront station - how easy/fast is it to get there on debarkation morning with a large suitcase from the cruise terminal?

Another skytrain question - getting off the cruise - how far/easy is it to get to the Canada Line /waterfront station to get back to the airport on the morning of debarkation? Yes we will have big suitcases! LOL

Just wanted to say so sorry for your loss and I know you will keep your friend's memory alive on this cruise! Lots of solos onboard so you won't be alone (unless you want to be?). Safe travels... (when do you arrive in Barcelona and where are you staying?)

Gothic quarter not that far from the port you should be okay to grab a cab? Most hotels do allow you to leave your bags if your room is not ready? You can always email tlhem. I let my hotel know I was arriving early and would like an early check in if possible - and they did respond that they would store my bags if my room was not ready.

You can google it (google maps) to see how close or far it is from the port? enter hotel name or address then directions - then enter 'port of barcelona or barcelona cruise terminal' - should give you a rough idea? What part of barcelona are you staying in?

Stayed up late to check in - now able to finally 'print' my documents this morning (was getting error messages last night)..... are people pre-arranging a ride to the port? Or just grabbing a cab?

Looking at booking an OV acabin on plaza vs fiesta decks on the Island princess for an upcoming transatlantic. From what I have found out - the OV windows on the Fiesta deck are much larger than those on Plaza deck (as pre refurbishment these were the 'hallway' larger OV windows). Obviously when the cabins were added they didn't 'change' the windows, so these cabins have the benefit of huge OV windows! The other benefit is the room configuration - on deck 5 from what I can see in the OV cabins the bed is under the (smaller) window - so hard to look out unless you are of course on top of the bed. Looks like in the Deck 6 Fiesta cabins the configuration has the bed along the wall allowing for a fabulous view from the extra large window. My main concern as others have mentioned is a) noise from the casino and b) lingering smoke smells in and around the hallway - these two possibilities are what is stopping me at the moment. The only two fiesta deck cabins still available are mid/aft ones F522 or F526. (and looks like there is a door at the end of the hallway/near F526 that leads into the casino??? - wondering how often it is used and if noise/smoke would 'wander' into that area?) Looking for any comments/experiences with these cabins but more specifically noise/smoke issues due to proximity of the casino.

Well you will most likely become 'addicted' to transatlantics like the rest of us? 🙂 I usually get euros before I leave so not sure about airport ATM machines, but no centrally located hotels as far as I know will pick you up at the airport - there are however lots of private pickup/driver services that you can arrange a pickup with - or just grab a taxi at the airport - very easy to do as well!

I don't think the cruise line has anything to do with this? I am canadian so can't speak about US travel notifications, but I do know in some cases I did once in a while get travel advisories which I think were 'triggered' by my airline reservation? Maybe someone in the US can provide any further insight on why you are getting these especially if you did not sign up for them???

Who is sending you these emails? May 1st - is international worker's day - and is a public holiday in Spain (and many other European countries). . I believe in the past there have been protests on that date - ....and I assume you are hearing about a planned protest on that date as well? It is a liquor store as I recall so yes it would have different types of alcohol and I know many of my friends went there to 'stock up' their cabin bars LOL (not sure if they carried beer?) Just wondering what the situation is now and if anyone leaving from Terminal E/Helix has any recent experience or info to share?

Can someone confirm that this shop is in Terminal E/Helix please? Do they carry soft drinks/canned as well? Any info on possible 'type/brands' greatly appreciated! 🙂
