My vote is for Elbow Beach
We were just there 2 days ago, great service on the beach!
$50.00 for 2 loungers, table and umbrella,
The water is amazing!
Enjoy!

Any one with mobility issues getting to Tobacco Bay Beach is not recommended unless you take a cab directly to the beach, yes it is very small, loud music and hardly any shade, however we found a cool spot under 2 trees that provided shade all day. The snorkeling is really why we went but when lots of people got the the water became quite cloudy.
The next day we rented loungers, table and umbrella on Elbow beach. The cab dropped us right there. It was 50$ for the 2 of us and they had beverage and food service at our spot on the beach, Showers and changing facilities as well. A beauty of a day, the water is AMAZING!
Enjoy!

We just were on Horseshoe Beach 2 days ago. The entrance there is flat but no shade. We ventured to the left as far as we could go and at that point all along the beach you have to climb some to get down to the beach, it did not bother me but my husband helped me a lot. It is just beautiful with all the rock formations and we were able to get shade all day under a overhang.
The water was beautiful but the sand does make for unstable conditions due to rough seas.
Tobacco bay is very calm, but the walk there is tough on the knees.
Enjoy,

We were just there 3 days ago. Rental for 2 loungers, table, umbrella was 50$ This is on the public side of the beach, no different actually. There is beach side beverage and food service. They come right to your spot on the beach. It was a lovely day there. Water is amazing.
Enjoy!

Wow, that is awesome. Thank you Bermuda. Can't wait to be there this Thursday!
Glad social media played a part in finding the camera! Good job!

Just figured our expenses, and rough estimate if we had cruised. Our BB was 1700.00 our flight was 1650.00 and we usually plan on 100.00 per day expenses. Cruise would have been 1000.00 more.
We hope to have a marvelous time with 7 days on Bermuda.

We are doing the exact thing, I wanted more time on Bermuda than a cruise had to offer. I won't know until we return how it compares to a cruise but I am so excited to have 7 days of relaxation all day and not have to think about getting back to the ship.
We cruise a lot too but this destination we wanted to stay longer.

Thanks, we are probably going to do a lot of exploring from one beach to the next so sneakers are most likely be the better. I love sandals too but sand and a lot of walking could mean blisters!

What footwear would be advisable for walking the beaches on Bermuda?
-
Very wise purchase. We will be there next week for 7 days. Will for sure try this option.
Thanks

Thanks so much for the info. Pure luck on the seas like glass will be my wish!
Now to decide on a cabin. Is it better to have a balcony port side?

What were the temps like in July, Aug.? I think Nov will be too cool.
How were the seas coming and going to Burmuda?
Was it an issue coming and going to and from the ship while in port?
I am considering this cruise this summer. Were there festivals going on while there in Burmuda?
Thanks so much

Anyone sailed on the Grandeur to Burmuda?
I am considering for Sept. 2014.
All advise welcome.
Thanks

Thanks for your input.

Thanks, I knew I had to disable cellular data, and data roaming but I wondered while on the ship if I would have to purchase the wifi package or wait until at a port location with wifi?

Has anyone ever used the app whatsapp for text messaging while on the ship or in the Carribean?
Thanks

Are there tv's in the fitness center? Can you connect an iPod to the ellipticals?
Thanks

Thanks everyone, I did not think irons were allowed but my friend who had sailed Allure told me she thought they were in the cabins. I had a travel iron taken when we took our first cruise several years ago. I use plastic bags from target or tissue paper and have results with minimal wrinkles!

We did not need a reservation for Elbow beach day pass, just walked on the public side of their beach and paid $50.00 for 2 loungers, table, umbrella and beach side bar and beverage service.
Hope the rain stays away.
