  1. We have been on Carnival and Princess and just love NCL. I really like the casual dress for dinners and if you feel like dressing up you can do that too! There is always something to do, the shows are top notch in my opinion and can't wait to see both of the complementary broadway shows on the Escape. Anytime dining works for us...after all you never know what time you will be hungry that particular day...so if you want to see a show and eat late you can do that or come back from a day of sightseeing and take a nap instead of rushing to get to an early dinner reservation. It truly does work! If you go at 6:00-6:30 p.m. you may have to wait a few minutes, but we have been handed a buzzer and just go to a nearby bar for a drink while waiting.

I hope you enjoy NCL also:)

  2. We were on the Sky in November and still had to sign for every drink and while still in port had to pay Miami tax on the drinks there. We kept all our receipts just for fun and DH added them up when we came home and we drank $813.00 worth of wine beer and mixed fun cocktails..it wasn't hard to do at all...it was really fun trying drinks and wines that I probably wouldn't have purchased because of the price. Have fun!

  3. Clean1owner, thanks for your reply. My husband and I are up for anything. We want to see Sagrada Familia and Las Ramblas. I've heard there is a beautiful large park somewhere. We like good food and alcohol. beer/wine/cocktails. Hope to not have to see a Dentist! :) Any input would be appreciated!

You may mean Park Guell? It was designed by Gaudi and contains some incredible architectural mosaics and has an unbelievable view of the city!

  4. So do the shots/drinks exceed the $11/drink allowance for the UDP?

We were in the Ice Bar and a flat fee per person included 2 drinks inside the ice bar...my hand was shaking so bad, I think i spilled most of them on the floor:rolleyes:

Nice photo op with our friends but I would never do it again...once experienced was enough for me!

The Epic is a lot of fun...different vibe imo than on a smaller ship. We have fun on them all!

    Have fun:)

  5. Leaving Friday Nov 13th on the Sky (You will be getting on as we get off).

This is our annual guys trip, we usually try to do a 3 or 4 day to minimize time away from home as our wive's arent alway fond of us getting away. 3 out of the 4 of us are accounants so mid month is ideal for travel. Sort of how we ended up picking this sailing. We actually usually sail Carnival for the guys trip but with the UBP being offered it was a no brainer for us.

Save some drinks for us! Have fun!

  6. Who is leaving on a cruise this week? Anywhere from today to next Monday ...

Where are you going? On what ship? Why this destination or date?

So we are leaving Monday, November 16 on the Sky to the Bahamas...we are going this date because it's a Steeler bye week and it's the only way I can get DH to sail during football season!

  7. Usually start to organize outfits a week out, so if something needs washed I still have lots of time. Actual packing commences about two days prior so I have 2 days to change my mind or add accessories I may have forgotten. We leave in 2 weeks, and are going to a football game the day before so I will pack a separate bag to use for our overnight at the airport after the game..lots of planning[emoji41]

  8. After you submit the form for the future cruise certificate to the cruise consultant desk they will give you a voucher that you take to the casino desk. And no there should be no problem using smaller denominations in multiple machines.

    Thank you!

  9. Ding ding. I'm not sure why they call it an OBC as you aren't really getting a credit to spend on anything because you are charging $250 to onboard account already. However, I do always choose to exchange it for $125 on the casino. I figure I am already going to be spending much more than that in the casino so might as well get something extra out of it.

Can you tell me the process to turn the $100 OBC into $125 at the casino? And you don't have any problem downloading $5 or $10 or whatever into separate machines?
