  1. We had Covid in Sept so I’m hoping that will hold for my Jan 14 cruise. I am going to avoid large gatherings but still go to the store and gym. We did not quarantine for our Aug cruise and we were fine. But we were sweatin’ it a bit both at the port and after the cruise since we were flying out of Nassau.

  2. I got this too but not sure of the particulars. Does anyone have a CAS rep they really like? When I just booked a quick 3 night cruise I didn’t care for the rep I got. He seems apathetic and didn’t give me much info, I had to ask everything. Feel free to message me.

  3. My 2 cents: Hubby is the slot gambler, I do a little slots and craps. We have both won jackpots on slots on NCL and Crystal. There has been one NCL cruise he didn’t win anything on and one Carnival cruise. he has his “kitty” which he sticks with and doesn’t gamble the mortgage money 😁.

We call NCL when ready to book and have to pay taxes/fees. So it isn’t “totally free”, usually costs about $600 for balcony or mini suite. Booking through Urcomped on other cruise lines (Crystal, celebrity, RCL) is cheaper.

  4. Hi, it’s great to see you again after seeing you on the summer Crystal cruise board! We have just booked a short little NCL cruise for January so I’m back on the NCL board. So we ended up getting Covid beginning of Sept, I’m wondering if we will need that letter from

board of Health in case we still show positive before our cruise. Did you end up getting a letter for your last cruise?

  5. Hi all. I have gotten quotes on Insuremytrip.com which I typically use for my cruises/airfare. However when selecting the cruise line Crystal is not on the list of cruise lines.  I tried this with Nationwide and Berkshire. I chatted the help desk and they say it isn't a covered cruise line and to pick another policy. I tried this and they don't appear on the list. Could Crystal possibly be under another name?

Which insurance companies do you use?

    Thanks!

We'll have a few hours to kill before our flight and would love someone to scoop us up with our luggage for a private tour and some beach time.  Any recommendations for a local tour guide with amazing reviews?

Did you find anything? We also have a late flight and are looking for the same thing.

    Agree 100 percent!

Agree. I would like to see the Long term effects of 1-2 years first. Remember the Moderna vaccine bypassed animal testing. The pfizer vaccine did some animal testing.

Doesn't matter when they book it - it matters when you have to pay for it which is by final payment which is officially 120 days out. They don't usually book it that far out, but you have to pay for it with your final payment then. The last promo it averaged around 45 days but I saw a few got booked like 60 days before and others that didn't know until around 30 days before.

Also beware that if you select the airfare, after final payment you can only get the obc or upgrade if NCL is still offering the air promo you booked under (very likely they won't) so you won't be able to do that if you choose it.

So when you say "pay for it" do you mean the second person's airfare since the first is free? I have credit and miles with a couple different airlines, was hoping to use those if I can. Is that possible?

It's likely similar to a previous promo. Basically you have no choice on the airline or time of day - you just get to pick the day but it's no more than 2 nights early or 2 nights late. They try to limit stops, but you're not guaranteed non stop even if they're available.

Only use it if 1) It's a decent price and 2) you're ok with having no control over your flights.

Ya, agree. Since we only use the Wifi and drinks perks we will probably book. Then when the time comes to book the airfare we can decide if we even want to use it. Any idea how far in advance they book the flight? Is it really close to the cruise date?

  10. We sailed the Med on Celebrity in July. Totally different, not many kids and we were pretty tired every day from the port intensive cruise. But we still had a couple drinks with new friends in the evening, but certainly didn’t last all night. It was really nice!

  11. I haven't seen this here, so I was wondering, if you had a cruise cancelled or not, with what is going on, what is your vacation looking like for this year?

I was lucky enough to cruise in early February this year, but have now booked a home right on Lake Lure NC for a week in September for my family.  This is not something I would normally do for a full week (we have done a weekend trip there), but my brain is telling me it is time for a break from everything.

What are your alternate vacations looking like?  If you already went I would love to see a picture or two.

We just got back from St.Thomas, did lots of snorkeling and beach time!
