  1. Last winter we did a day with tours by ellis.....my husband had the time of his life hiking in the rain forest....ellis was one of the nicest, most interesting people i have ever met anywhere....i could have talked to him the entire time....we had a wonderful day and night....he dropped us in farado for the biolumenescent tour and returned us to our hotel in sj at night....he was just awesome....you tell him what you want and he will figure it out or make suggestions....he drives an suv....the 12 hr day was $250 whether there were 2 or 4 of us....i highly recommend him...

I second Ellis. We have used him twice and can't say enough good things about him. HE is on Facebook "Tour with Ellis: See the Real Puerto Rico" You can find him on Craigslist or email him at fleisherellis@aol.com

  2. You can take a taxi to Barrachina restaurant, store your luggage there and walk around Old San Juan, see the forts, the San Juan Gate, etc...

or you can contact Ellis for a tour. He offers many different tours and will customize for you if you know what you would like to see and do

fleisherellis@aol.com or look him up on Craigslist/Puerto Rico

  3. My DH and I walked all over OSJ in about 6 hours. We went to El Morro, the San Juan Gate, we walked the Paseo and meandered back through the streets and shops. We stopped at Parque de las Palomas and fed the pigeons and we had dinner. OSJ is a relatively small area and easy to navigate

  4. Not a cruise but we are going to the Bahamas in December for our 30th anniversary. We are wanting to have pics taken on the beach. I am looking for a dress and not finding what I want. I need a L/XL, long, loose and flowy, lightweight and packable. Something that won't wrinkle. I am not a teenager and need something I can wear a bra underneath. Looking for light or bright colors.........HELP

  5. There is no need for an excursion to see OSJ. It's a relatively small area and easy to walk. My daughter and I walked all over, went to both forts, the Old San Juan Gate, Parque de las Palomas and stopped in a bunch of little shops.
