  1. True...but may times...not happy with their selection. I would rather choose the alternative.
  2. I have often gone to visit the LA on board to switch out choices. And many times I have been sent the wrong wine from my chosen selection. I bring that bottle to the LA and request the correct type, which usually shows up within hours.
  3. Do keep in mind the allowance is one bottle of wine person....and one 12 pack of water/soda per cabin. Otherwise, I agree with others...take elevator up to Viking Crown Lounge. Best place to hang out. 🙂
  4. Aww...thanks! 🥰 Indeed. Some select few just don't get it do they? 😉 I am now in the ranks of the virtual cruisers until Barcelona when I reboard. And definitely appreciate the ones that are keeping this thread alive. Already missing my compadres....and looking forward to rejoining again. 🙂
  5. LOL...yeah! Bring it. Just would have to fill up on more local fresh Paella and Spanish wine. 😄
  6. LOL....OMG....we adore Barcelona! 😉 No problem with late arrival. 😄
  7. Well, I am just hoping the new itinerary won't affect the date for Barcelona. If they come in late...oh drats...guess I will just have to extend my stay in Barcelona. 😉
  8. Waiting to hear if the last quarter will still commence on July 10th as scheduled.
  9. Who needs Wikipedia when you have your own local "knows all ....sees all". 😄 😄
  10. That was me. And indeed that Royal UP cost me dearly, but was oh so worth it. 😉 Actually the very first bid I ever won...though I don't bid that often. And also true....C&A status and the condition of the former cabin has absolutely nothing to do with the upbid. That is done by a separate company that handles those. They have no knowledge of our C&A or reason to bid.
  11. The closing of those decks happened quite frequently during the last quarter. Frustratingly for my early morning walks on those decks. 😞 Hope all is well and you indeed make Hawaii on time, and the pax with the medical condition gets the help they need.
  12. Ahh..OK, so that is why you mentioned market time. My broker let me know yesterday that my RCI stock has doubled in value since the time I bought it, and he was the one that gave me grief for buying and holding on to it in the first place. Haha! 😉
  13. I ran into that on the Viking river cruise last year. Wondered why my hair dryer was so extra powerful when I used the 220 to 110 adaptor, until I realized it was heating up...fast. So, I experimented again doing the same thing in our cabin on Serenade...same thing. Unplugged quickly. Used the adaptor for the USB plug for my clock...no worries. But do not use it for Kathy's hair dryer. She will be not happy if the thing fries up. 😮 And I don't think Duck tape will fix her fried hair dryer like it did your suitcase. 😁
  14. On a side note...speaking of hair dryers. If you use the adaptor on the 220 to 110....with your hair dryer...you will notice it is very..very powerful. Just before it burns up. 🥵 Those 220 plug ins are not compatible with a lot of things with an adaptor.
  15. Could definitely be the reason! RCI liked to keep problems very close to themselves. 😉
  16. Most likely...IMHO...due to the fact I had that cabin up until 2 days before embarkation in Miami. All of my cruise docs were still showing 7602...but I had the upgrade letter in hand for GS cabin #1550. Still made for mass confusion at check in. 🫤
  17. I originally had that cabin...but just days prior, my Royal UP was granted and moved to GS on deck 10. I am ever so happy that happened ....even more so now.
  18. Drats...I forgot to check out your unique cabin before we left. Will do so when we return in July if still invited! Miss you guys! 🙂
