New Show Center Stage last night was (IMHO) good...not great...but entertaining and good. First time for their new act (all RCI entertainers). Talented singers, and as always the Serenade orchestra was very good. Kind of loud last night, but energetic. As we were leaving the show and walking up the stairs, we met the man from the Gold Duo, as he was waiting for her in the restroom. We thanked him for the really great show, and told him how talented they were. Really nice guy. I teased him that (as they are getting older) that if he decided to get out of the demanding acrobatic part of it, he would still go really far just doing the comic act. He was so funny, he had me in tears during the show! I patted him on the arm to say thank you again, and realized that was not an arm...more of a tree trunk!! Yikes...Oak tree. 😉

Yikes...social media feeding frenzy indeed! Makes me even more happy to just stick with good old fashion Cruise Critic...simple. No drama. 😉 And the mods are always there looking out for us! 🥰

Worth it for us as well...but we are happy to break it up into first and last quarter. 🙂

Indeed...if we do breakfast in there again...I will use the omelet station! 🙂 We use the WJ for lunch everyday we are on the ship. Love sitting outside over the aft in the fresh air and watching the wake going off into the horizon.

LOL...yup. If you don't like what is on your own TV set...turn it off. 😄

Aww...thanks! I am l like you, I don't do the other media sites.....though from what I have heard, this cruise is a media sensation! Even the crew is talking about it all the time. I like CC for being a more laid back and calm site. 😉 Indeed, I checked on the last quarter...looks totally booked, unlike this quarter that had many inside, outside, and balcony cabins left to book. Since they were not, we are treated to a ship that is not crowded, has good service, and very little shortages. 🥰

A bottle of water...but he was pointing out the little toy horse. And no worries, he traded that bottle of water in later for a nice cold draft at lunch. 😄

Oh silly...that is Grouper cheeks...not Red Snapper checks! But you should have seen your bro attack the "little yummies" in that Snapper head. 😄

And for you cat lovers (like me...miss them still...) the kitty cats in the market.

OK...so here we go waiting for the tour to start as we hang out in the theater waiting for the ducklings to assemble to the buses.

Me neither. But it seems this is a rather unusual cruise for RCI...so it is a rather unusual situation. Not sure this was really thought out in advance. 🤨

OOpps...correction. We are not using that blow up balloon thing. Must just be for storage, shelter, or something. This is another port that is ship to bus...only. No walkies on the pier. Bus/shuttle to terminal (wherever that is) only. Finished with our "lovely" breakfast at the WJ.....Bucky had the right idea with the cold cereal. I decided to walk on the wild side and tried the scrambled eggs...yup...now I know why we don't use the WJ for breakfast. Yuck 😜..... I guess I should have gone to the omelet station, but didn't want anything heavy.

Coming into Recife port. Docking at the commercial shipping area again, and in fact pretty funny the "temporary" cruise terminals are simply giant blow up balloons. One being deflated behind the one we are to use. This is an island set up for the shipping, separate from the city. Got my coffee in hand, about to hit the "food slammer" for early breakfast, since we meet early in the theater for our "foodie" tour today. More pictures to follow later today. 🙂

OK...if there are any of my fellow cruisers following this...GO to the show tonight! We went to the 6:30 show...there is an 8:30 show soon. OMG! The Gold Duo were fantastic! So talented...think Cirque du Soleil with comedy. The guy was not only an acrobat...but a great comic as well. Absolutely the best show of the last 3 weeks. She was just as talented...but he was the comic. Sorry again no pictures, but with house lights down...it would be rude to light up my screen. Great show!

Thanks for the video link Biker! I was having a devil of a time trying to pull up that Today show article. Indeed funny that some of the ship clips they showed were not Serenade...or even RCI. 😄

So...you think it is only the large ladies that have a "pop up" piano man? Think again. 😉 He was great, and very friendly as well. Talented. 🙂 Told me it was the first time Serenade has had a pop up pianist. Hope to find him again.
