That is ambiguous and not how they have handled this in the past. Up until this report, with a few exceptions as posted by others that happened not recently kids were grandfathered to the last loyalty status they held but their points reset to their actual points. "If it is found that a dependent or child is not immediately removed from a relationship upon their 18th birthday and accumulates a higher tier status outside of this time period, the dependent’s record will be adjusted back to the appropriate tier status" This part could easily be interpreted to mean that if they accumulate a higher status than whatb they were grandfathered at they would be reduced back to what they were previously at the last time they sailed with their parents prior to turning 18. I've read quite a few posts where a child who was Emerald by virtue of their parents status but gold on their own turned 18 and the parents made Diamond, the child was incorrectly made Diamond and then was caught and was moved back to the correct level of Emerald and not to Gold.

Why would it matter who paid? If they sail they get the points. No different than flying. No one is talking about kids who have legitimately sailed the number of nights remaining diamond, people are talking about kids thst may have only sailed once and remaining diamond.
