No such thing as quadruple points.
You each have your own point totals though only the highest persons shows so you will each get 14 points added to your individual total. (assuming a 7 day cruise)
There are no connecting oceanviews available on SY as they are a separate category not offered at group rates.
Group rates on SY are only offered in the 2D and 4D ofr OV balconies.
There are connecting CP and BW balconies available as there is no separate category for those connecting rooms.
On the website there is rarely the option. Most time is just says balcony guarantee and the invoice does not show XN or XB. It is really only those booking through a TA that get that option and only the TA invoices that show the actual categories
Which is precisely said OBC or instant savings. Just depends on what promos are running at the time. You will either get the $ off or pay a higher price and get OBC
Celebrity offers an across the board military discount on all cruises for the same amount while Royal does not. The amount on Royal varies and is used as a marketing / sales tool to boost sales of slow selling cruises as opposed to a thank you for your service.
Same procedure as every other Royal ship sailing from Florida.
No room entry on boarding day until sometime between 1 and 2. You keep your bags with you.
On TAD you will be escorted off and back on the ship.
It has nothing to do with "when they feel like it". It is whether or not it can be combined with other promotions. I know that you book suites and the extra OBC or instant savings that you get for suites is always more than the balcony discount and the two are not combinable.
While technically they could be on this on paper right up until the day of the cruise at the pier they can only check in under one room so they would be a no show on the other and would be cancelled.
Your only options are to either have 4 in your room or pay for them to be in sky class as opposed to a balcony
That is a subjective measurement. They need something that is black or white even though it may eliminate some people who are perfectly capable and at the same time still allow others that are under the age but not physically fit to take part.
Royal has been running mini 2 day sales that have included OBC, but they also raise the prices to compensate for that. At the end of the day prices, once they factor in the OBC form the mini 2 day sales are usually within $50 of what they were without. Don't feel like you are missing out, they just play games with the pricing
I have a letter from the executive office explaining why.
Has to do with cruise by cruise taxes that may be under or overpaid as a whole for the ship based on occupancy, tax rates in place at time of booking and changes which is why it is up to the on board revenue manager by ship.
As posted above. It is a pass through offer from Royal that is offered to select TA's for close in sailings. The offer varies by month and is usually for sailings departing within 6 months of booking on select itineraries for balconies and above. This month was Alaska and Europe, last month was Caribbean.
Prepaid gratuities are only added to the reservation and not paid for until final. there is nothing to refund if you have only paid the $100 next cruise deposit
