Sorry to disagree but it is completely different. Substituting Seattle and Vancouver is no where near an overnight in Maui. People do not book this cruise for Seattle and Vancouver and if Royal thought that they would they would offer this as a regular scheduled itinerary. I am fully aware that it's just a change in ports and Royal can do what they did but that does not mean that its the right thing to do.

What gets me is the inconsistancies. Royal just recently shortened the AD TA for the fall of 2024 from 13 days to 12 and cancelled the sailing and gave people the option of staying on board or changing to Oasis, Explorer or Odyssey all price protected and some of those sailings were double the cost. Then you have this with Ovation and I'm sure Quantum and it's completely changing the itinerary and nothing unless you are prepared to push back.

Many times balcony discounts are not applicable to suites as the instant savings is greater than the balcony discount and the two are not combinable.

All of those are $25 more than a D discount. If you are already booked they will refare your cruise to current rates if you want the increased discount unless you are booked at a group rate and it is more than 120 days to sailing.

Call and press the issue. You will most likely be allowed to switch to a different sailing without a change fee.

There was s thread on here a while ago where someone interpreted the C&A benefits for kids incorrectly. Kids get the same discount that you are entitled to. They do not get a free package. If they are Diamond they get a free day, d+ and they get 2 free days.

They made that same announcement on our flight from YYZ to LAX as there were 60 of us with a tight connection to HNL. Not one person remained seated. Not sure if those at the back of the plane made their connection or not. Common courtesy was non existent that day.

It's the same design. Doesn't matter that its not on Icon.

It is clear that many have not looked at what the infinite verandah is. There is a separate set of doors / floor to ceiling windows that can be pulled across to close off the balcony portion so that you can sit on the balcony while the rest of the room remains cool and air conditioned. In that way it is no different than a regular balcony except when the outer balcony window is closed you have a much bigger room.
