  1. Ken, Thank you for your amazing travel blog with so much detail and fantastic pictures! Also thanks to all the other contributors sharing their pictures and expertise! We are on the Antarctic RT Buenos Aires in December. I was wondering what brand of binoculars would be best to buy for this trip. Also, the beginning of the cruise has an overnight in BA and when I look at the available excursions, it has this phrase “This tour is only available on transit calls”. Would you know what this means? Looking forward to your next travel blogs. Safe travels home!
  2. Ken, Thanks for your wonderful “Live” Froms and amazing photos! Your 2023 Live from the Diamond Princess helped us a lot on our September 2023 Cruise on the Diamond. Now this current Live forum is a wealth of information for our upcoming Dec. 2024 Antarctica cruise! It will be a bit out of my comfort zone as I am nervous about the Drake Passage and rough seas. I am especially impressed by your kindness and willingness to help everyone here on the forum. Bravo to you for taking the time to share your time and experiences with us all. I will be sure to follow all your future “Lives”!
  3. Hi I submitted my shareholder info on the app and got an email back 2 days later saying: Your proof of share ownership has been processed. Please go to the Stockperks app to explore and redeem your perks. When I scroll down and choose Princess, there is no where to add my sailing date or booking number and the rectangular box that says Redeem Perks is not lit up and when I press it does not work. Do I go somewhere else to add my booking number and sail date or do I email someone and if so who? Thanks for any help!
  4. Callie told me he would be on the Crown Princess until November. K. Greyling got off the ship when we boarded. Callie was a lot of fun and highly visible throughout the ship!
  5. Callie Smit was acting as both the Entertainment and Cruise Director on our July 25th Alaskan cruise.
  6. @cr8tiv1 Thanks for answering! I know that if we hired a private transfer it would have to be a minivan and I was trying to save money using a shared shuttle. We don’t travel light and didn’t want to do a lot of walking after drop-off😀 Wishing you a fantastic cruise!
  7. @mandapanda13 @cr8tiv1 Thanks for your advice on this thread! We are a group of 3 adults booked on the Diamond this September but staying in Tokyo a few days before. If we booked a Yokohama shared shuttle from our Tokyo hotel, would they be considered a private vehicle/taxi that would be able to drop us off at Daikoku Pier or do we have to transfer to the complimentary shuttle from Yamashita pier to Daikoku pier? Any info would be great!
  8. @cruzsnooze We were on the Island Princess in December and there were about 4 thermal tike beds.
  9. LOVING your writing style, wonderful humour, and great pictures! Thanks for taking the time to do this great LIVE, it really is so informative! It is our dream to do even part of a world cruise and we are happy to follow along on your journey!
  10. So glad we were able to sail with Captain Tuvo on the Sky Princess on the Christmas 2019 cruise! We just got off the Island Princess on Dec. 12 and we had a NEW Cruise Director named Cole who was fantastic, fun, and energetic. He used to be a Princess dancer. Looking forward to seeing more of him in future sailings!
  11. Thanks for the helpful info, very much appreciated!😀
  12. Thank you so much for writing this detailed review! So glad you had such a great cruise. We will be on the Royal Princess 7 days northbound on July 23rd and getting excited! I know that the shore excursions with White Pass railroad now stops at the summit and does not cross into Yukon or BC ( no passport required) but do you happen to know if the BUS tours cross into Yukon or BC? Did they bring back the Puppies in the Piazza? Thanks in advance for any info!
  13. If anyone has stayed in either of these cabins, I would appreciate your input. I know E407 category DZ has an extended balcony with not much obstruction per se. I’m wondering if cabin M507 a) being one deck below the Horizon Buffet will be noisy and b) is the balcony covered? Thanks for any advice!
