Ok. So I presume no one replying on this thread has yet to embark a cruise at this port?

We got our flights about a week ago. Very happy with flights they gave us. Just hoping there is no bad weather leaving st Louis feb 20 lol. At least we are going down 2 days early.

Im just inquiring. It looks like those unvaccinated or those who can complete their vaccination before embarking on a cruise are still required to get tested. Has this been the experience of anyone? Just curios.

Hopefully hotels and taxi drivers in area will have an idea as well. It sounds like on day of embarkation we will need to take a taxi to flamenco island and look for signs/instructions to board a bus to pier. I guess they have check in facilities that are operational inside the main building.

Just had to put some positivity out there and thank Norwegian for awesome flights for our upcoming panama cruise out of panama city! I booked longed ago and kept my fingers crossed. Ironically i was looking at the same flights a few nights before we received our flight confirmation as i was getting jitters because there were some bad flights out there with long layovers and good flights with higher prices. I could not have done better purchasing on my own nor would I want to pay what some of the airfare is going for per person for this trip for some of the better flights. It is nice NCL has connections with airlines to make things work out. Looking forward to finally being on a cruise ship again late February and spending some time in panama city!

Its great the port is docking ships. when I booked my cruise I took a chance to whether it would be operational or not. hopefully the check in procedures online for ncl will help ease check in at the pier.

we had the cruise line book us for transport from port to airport. we get off the jewel in colon.

what day are you sailing? just curious. we are leaving on feb 22 for armador.

Im just trying to hedge costs for my future travel plans. We are not like many who can just book on a whim and go anywhere for any price. We do like paying for our plans way in advance.

I wanted to add it to booking like i have done in the past and they told me it is too early to do so and must wait until it becomes available. therefore i do not have it in documents because it was never there. I am just hedging my expenses for the future. if we get better airfare or comparable pricing when that time comes we can just cancel ncl air.

Not sure. I think im at the point im going to get an ncl cruise planner and tell them what are preferences are. It will save me tons of phone calls and possible worries. we booked a cruise from israel to rome in 2025 on the epic. we are in st. louis. Ive always been able to ask for 2 day deviation before. not cruise related but Ive flown from st. louis to saudi arabia back to st louis and it was usually a two day thing flying to new york/boston then to london, staying nightly and then riyadh to khamis mushayt next day. I supposed getting to tel aviv will be about the same but perhaps we can get to tel aviv straight from london.

Hey there cruisers. I dont know how many people go with the buy one get one free airfare but we just made a reservation for 2025 and they wont let us do air deviations, flying in two days early, until 180 days out and if that's if they are available. Has anyone else experienced this? Any details?

Looks like construction still going on. The most recently article said this complex should be complete by mid 2023. Boarding here in february should be interesting!

At least the settlement will recover some of the costs and lost revenue. It appears ABB was pushing design and engineering limits with the azipods in question. best they can do is offer support for free and or discount. makes me wonder how much help ABB provided to the cruiselines with premature failing units. Punishing one of the only companies that makes these propulsion systems doesnt make a whole lot of sense if these lawsuits continue one way or the other. Paying the 159 million court decision Im sure will just get priced in to future product builds.

we are embarking in seward in 2024. hope we made the right choice. i was thinking flying in 2 nights early and do the kanai fojords but since i booked ncl air I dont know if I will have time and wishing I just booked the cruise out of vancouver and ended in seward. It looks like a nice little town.

how did your trip to panama go? we are doing the same late feb. airfare priced recently is very expensive. I have some growing concern trip will be quite long but if I price airfare seperately im looking at well more than double what was paid for ncl air. ncl air $700, round trip flights from midwest to panama city and back averaging $1800 total. There are many flights with stops totalling 18-24 hours long

Bwahahahahaaa. LOL. To be fair it seems like that cruise did get hit with not one but perhaps four change of ports/ cancellations. my oh my. Given the challenge of cruise lines getting up to speed again, I dont have high expectations going on my cruise in feb, just enjoy the ports, appreciate the crew, and breath in that ocean air. Hopefully food is still good. Going on three years now since we last cruised.

NCL used to have water taxis to old town so you can walk about and see things on your own. I think we are going to just get a taxi and head to old town. Wish we were in port longer.

Yes you are correct! With the website it causes a glitch ;but if we call in, I can pay separately from my parents! We were able to get it straightened out and have a game plan!

Anybody have issues with booking excursions when 2 or more people want to pay for their own? Sailing with my parents and when I bought an excursion they couldnt buy the same excursion on their end. then for two other ports, when they bought two excursions for two other ports I get the error message when i try to buy same time same excursion. Anybody have any thoughts? Just a glitch? This is 3 times on 3 different excursions.

its sounds like they substituted a west coast costa rica port then. were you originally going to puntearenas? thanks for info. i dont think those of us that have an east coast stop have many options but maybe nicaragua. i dont know if ships stop in nicaragua on the eastern side. maybe we will hit colon if costa rica is cancelled.
