Biscuits and gravy - a US southern breakfast dish, of soft, scone-like biscuits with white milk-based gravy made with bacon/sausage pan drippings, and may have sausage meat added.

Silver Dollar Pancakes - mini-pancakes (round dollops of batter cooked on a griddle served with maple syrup and butter)

Buffalo Wings - chicken wings (and legs) cooked in a hot sauce coating served with a side of blue cheese dressing for dipping and celery sticks. No buffaloes involved!

Canadian Bacon - in the US, this means round slices of a ham-like back bacon, not the strips of fatty bacon. In Canada, they have a different type of bacon altogether (peameal bacon).

Cream of Wheat - a breakfast cereal - farina, porridge - similar in texture to grits (which is made from corn) but made from wheat; finer texture than oatmeal.

Oatmeal - breakfast cereal made from oats; coarser than cream of wheat.

Sherbet - a frozen dessert similar to ice cream but lighter, made with fruit juice and water or milk instead of cream and eggs; flavors include lemon, orange, or raspberry.

    Thank you. :).

So if you wanted to order in the UK.

    Mixed Green Salad.

    Not Available

    Drop Scones (I think)

    Chicken Wings

Gammon or back bacon (depends on how thick or thin it is)

    Not Available

Porridge ( Although tradtionaly made with salt and NOT sugar)

    Sorbet, Milk Ice or Granita

    Bread and Butter Pudding.

I think I will be trying all of these except the Biscuits and Gravy (a bit too strange for me) and the Bread and Butter Pudding which I really don't like. :)

  2. Besides the suite breakfast and lunch favourites I have very few definite favourites elsewhere, only that come to mind are:

    In the buffet:

    - Chilled fruit soups (if found, nowadays usually only in buffet if even there)

    - Plain crepe on which I add raspberry sauce from the hard ice cream station (sometimes I'd settle for strawberry if there is no raspberry available), that way it's much less sugary than with the jams there at the crepes station

    In MDRs:

    - Spring roll (I think it's spring and not summer - anyway the one that is deepfried, not the vietnamese one that is fresh and cold, I don't usually eat a lot of foods from those areas so I have mixed them up in the past - what a dissappointment it's been ;))

    - Salmon and cucumber tartar (next best thing after the salmon appetizer on suite lunch menu)

    In bars:

    - Oak and Ginger (Bacardi Oakheart with Ginger Ale)

    - Most martinis (I drink martinis only onboard usually)

    - Mojitos (there are several delicious variations too, it pays to ask)

I think we like a lot of the same things :) Great idea with the sauce for the Crepes. And yes I too have done the same with the Spring Rolls I do like both but always dissapionted when I go for the wrong "type" :(

  3. Agree mostly but for the tomato sauce. It's ok, but not essential to me. Actually a small pizza buffet chain (Infinitos) near us offers a "Rose' " pizza--a blend of Alfredo and marinara--which is a pleasant blend of styles!:D

Agree! Pizza with blue cheese and lettuce? that sounds like a pizza that was thrown away in my garden after a couple of days of fermenting!

Well we have to have some healthy food to balance out those deep fried Mars bars :) :) or the deep fried Pizza - Now that is BAD

  4. :)I have been following the thread to help me decide if I should purchase this if I book a cruise for 2014. I want to keep hydrated!! Is non bottled water still and sparkling included or is this free anyway. I dont drink any other type of soda except Ginger Beer (very popular in UK) or iced Green Tea but I have not seen those listed aywhere.
