That’s too bad about the larger table. Did you ask anyone about it?

Sorry about the soot problem!  We did not experience that. But we did have some weird flying, biting insects (I’ve never seen them before) for a few days.  No idea what they were.

I did mention it to our cabin steward who advised no larger tables were available.

No problems with bugs but one day we came back to the room and found that someone had thrown Gummie Bears down on our deck.

We have 7204 booked on the Millennium.  I'm disappointed to read that you didn't have the large table.  We really enjoy having breakfast on the balcony and those small tables are useless.  Do you happen to have a photo of the balcony?

I do not have a photo.  We had 4 chairs and 2 loungers and the 1small table.  What made it more disappointing not having the larger table was the Corner FV and the

Concierge cabin on the other sides  of us did have the bigger table.

I haven’ seen this mentioned but on our 2 day return to Bayonne we had a problem with soot.

  3. We just stayed in 8183, not a corner.

We did have the large mirror in the front room, but the cords on our dryers and stylers

were not long enough to reach to use that mirror.  We knew from previous reviews that there was not a mirror at the desk.  I had purchased  10”X12” mirror from Amazon

that we brought with us to sit on desk.  The outlets on the desk was too low and due to the size of our hair dryer plug we were not able to plug the dryer in.  Thank goodness I had brought a heavy duty 3 prong extender.

I was disappointed that we did not have the high top large table on our deck.  We only

had one small round table. This left no place to really sit and eat.

Even with these small problems I would not hesitate to book this room again.

I do not have any pictures of the beds open in the other room because we never did have any reason to open them.  there was only 2 of us.  sorry I can't help with that.

I did mention in another post that there is no normal electric plug anywhere near to a mirror.  so it was a challenge to blow dry hair, (style hair actually)  without a mirror.   (there was a shaver plug in the bathroom with a mirror).

the one upgrade that I loved since our last times in this cabin (2010,2011)  was the new decking on the balcony.  I only know that was done sometime since 2011,  but don't know when.

We will be 3 women staying in the family veranda.  Is there a desk with a outlet that we could sit a portable folding mirror to do our

    hair and makeup?

I am so happy to hear everyones opinion! We "downgraded" from concierge to an aft balcony on Milly  for Alaska in July and saved about $600 person for the 3 of us!

    Buckeye1990,

On the Summit Revolution Tread page 19, post 467 and 475 has updated photos of the family veranda, if you are still

    looking current pictures.

Has anyone seen any pictures of the new family veranda? We are going to Alaska in July and have cabin 9158 booked! I have been scouring the internet but have been unable to find any pictures!

    Buckeye,

Go to the Summit Revolution Thread  Page 19.  See posts 467 and 475.  There are several updated photos of the cabin.

  7. Villauk,  I am aware there is a possibility that we can get bumped. We don't sail till 8/25 and I will be watching

our reservation for any unnotified changes.  This sailing in the original booked Sky Suite would have been our

first suite since we started sailing with Celebrity.  As my  earlier  post said I cringed when I saw the renovated

Sky Suite.  I did not feel that 3 woman would be comfortable in this room for a week.

If bumped we will try for a Concierge room that will hold three.  I was afraid to book a Concierge at this time, as

many on the Millie were dropped to 2 people but Summit is still showing the rooms as 3.  Not sure which

    deck plans our correct.

  8. Jcpc.

It was myself and my two adult daughters. I cringed when I saw the renovated Sky Suite.  No sofa, a sleeper chair?

half a closet and no drawers. The balcony with  one chair and a half sofa side chair left no room to even walk.

For the amount of money we were spending for a Sky Suite I did not want to be living out of suitcases on the floor

for a week.  I was going to rebook us in Concierge when I saw this Family Veranda become available and it was

$2200.  less then the Sky Suite. I grabbed it. It's deck 8 not a corner, but I am happy.

  9. On the Summit Revolution thread post 468 there is a partial photo of a Family Veranda.  Just from this one

picture it looks so much nicer then the renovated Sky Suite we had originally booked.  So glad I was able to

    grab of these cabins.

  10.

I will be staying in a Family Veranda on our Summit cruise and have made several request like you for updated

photos.  I have had responses telling me how great these room are, but no new pictures.

I hope someone will post soon.

    Elaine
