  1. We are on Voyager in February and are in a junior suite on the hump - deck 9. We opted to get the key during the Black Friday sale because we needed internet and it was a couple dollars more. Royal up is available for both grand and owner suits for reasonable amounts. Question is the suite life on Voyager worth it? From what I can see most are located on Deck 10 below public spaces and don't include much in terms of amenities. Would love to hear your thoughts 🙂
  2. It's been years since we sailed Princess but found they did anytime dining better, loved the little details around food/hosting like milk & cookies, the movies under the stars with popcorn, the real ice cream and waffle station. I prefer the cabin sizes and layouts on Royal. Royal especially on the bigger ships does entertainment well, we've always had really good service and since we travel with a group of varying ages and interests it meets our needs better. I could happily sail princess, celebrity or royal and look at itinerary. My husband and the rest of our family and friends need more bells and whistles onboard, want good service, and food options so they're happy with Royal. We continue to select my time dining but always have reservations (early is too early, late is often too late and sometimes we want earlier and sometimes we want later) and adjust onboard if need be (don't usually have too much trouble). My time dining looks like a zoo without reservations otherwise it's fine. We've done the UDP on symphony, that was great but too much food- a 3 night speciality is a good number. Coastal Kitchen on Wonder had us completely spoiled- so if I was in a junior suite or above and could access coastal kitchen I'd opt out of specialty dining. Embarkation lunch - we avoid windjammer and crowds, depending on the ship there are options (park cafe, solarium bistro, el loco fresh) but you can also pay for a specialty restaurant lunch.
  3. We're taking a chance on the Key on our upcoming Voyager sailing. We were planning on getting internet anyway and got the Key for just a little more, we have a tender port, like going to the shows, and embarkation/debarkation in San Juan the last time we sailed was chaos so I'm hoping this helps 🙂. If not, we're not out all that much more and got a decent breakfast and lunch in the process.
  4. We were on a Junior Suite on the Wonder in September and got one every night without asking and honestly didn't looked at them really. So much is done on the app now, it became the reference point.
  5. I would 100% book two cabins over 1. Having the extra space and bathroom alone is worth is it. Motion on this size of ship even all the way aft is not bad. As for noise, being between decks of cabins is key.
  6. This happened to my husband recently. He had to go into his online profile remove his C&A # click save then readd it. Points and status then matched.
  7. Oh wow! But even at 2 points per night for the extra nights in for a junior suite you'd be at 80 and Diamond, you still win 🙂
  8. We're looking at our next family cruise and have it narrowed to two itineraries both 8 days. We'll be in the same boat if I can't get the hubby to agree to upgrade to a junior suite, the rest of the crew will be in balconies or lower and wanting to be near each other will be the challenge.
  9. We returned from the Wonder a few weeks ago and the entire Coastal Kitchen team was superb. We ended up meeting others and dining together midway through and none of us wanted to give up our wait staff, but Thomas, Edwin and Jimmy just made me smile night after night.
