  1. Thank you. We’ve never been with Princess only, DCL & Celebrity previously but the Coral has an itinerary I’m interested in and I know was specially built for the canal. If I can work timings I’d like to do Alaska & Panama on the same trip but will have to see!
  2. No we just asked for soft drinks as I didn’t want to appear rude. I knew spirits were for RS & above and wouldn’t want to embarrass her by asking. She also offered us beer but neither of us really drink it. Had she offered us wine we probably would have had a bottle. We took 2 bottles with us on our last cruise and came back with one as I’m not really one for drinking in the cabin a lot. A glass at sail away is fine for me.
  3. We were in a CS last year and were surprised that our butler told us that as we had a premium drinks package & that within reason she could supply things for our mini fridge. We asked for bottled water, coke for dh and tonic water for myself. I asked for a kettle and fresh milk every couple of days so I could make my own tea in the mornings. Previously in PS I’ve asked for the same with an ask for coffee and pastries to be delivered in the morning. Edit:- I find it a little cheeky to expect SS to pay for water bottles when the SS costs so many more £££ than an Aqua cabin, thousands in some cases. It leaves a nasty taste imo and will say that in a survey if asked. I will not say anything to the staff as they are implementing head office policy.
  4. Wow thank you!! That’s really good to hear. I’m looking at so many lines and ideas for my 60th in 2025 so at some point I need to narrow down and that’s really helpful information :)))
  5. We were on silhouette in May in Aqua class and prebooked our massages With the online discount. There was no spa credit that I can recall.
  6. Hope you feel better soon and thank you for this. It’s good to know what to expect when we get on board in October.
  7. Can I please ask about things to do in the day or evening? Generally we will go to a show or a drink before dinner. After dinner dh goes to the casino (he stays up late) while I go for a coffee and then head to my room. On sea days I’ll go to the enrichment lectures or read & dh will sunbathe or go to the casino. Is that something that would work on O? We usually sail Celebrity mostly in suites but not always in suites. TIA
  8. It’s not quite ‘luxury’ filling your tote bag to take to your room!
  9. Thank you that’s most helpful. I will start looking with Princess, Viking and Seabourn but will most likely go with Princess once I’ve checked it all out. And see if I’m allowed to fly that far!
  10. Thank you. I think for Glacier bay it’s just Princess or HAL? what would be best time of year ? Thank you
  11. For some reason I missed your reply so I apologise! We’ve booked a land trip in the end 😊
  12. If this is the case it’s slightly cheeky as SS aren’t cheap. Going to be in an MC in October but usually CS or PS.
  13. I have to say wasn’t really blown away by the bars on Apex. Eden was always crowded, martini bar too noisy. MC was ok if not too windy. Sunset bar ok. I spent most of my time in retreat lounge when on my own but dh didn’t really like the lounge. Was on Silhouette in June and the bars especially ensemble lounge, my favourite, were better imo. Gutted there is nothing like Sky Lounge on E class.
  14. Very good question emmas and one that hadn’t really occurred to me.
  15. Am following this also as trying to decide what to do for my 60th. But also thinking Panama Canal. Would love to do both but not sure can on time constraints.
  16. What’s the condition of the Coral Princess like? Possibly looking at it for a Panama (want to do old locks) or Alaska cruise. Reviews aren’t great. Tia.
  17. Thank you. Not sailed with Princess before so it’s all new.
  18. For those that have done both which do you prefer please? Trying to get ideas for my 60th in a couple of years. Thank you.
  19. I can’t remember if it’s been mentioned but has anyone been on Cunard and if so how does it compare? I know about the dress code and tbh probably why it puts me off a little, but dh would loves the idea, and wants to cruise Cunard at some point. Also retreat to grills please thank you!
  20. We will be in a magic carpet suite in October so I can report back then. I’m hopeful that any issues would have been sorted out by then.
  21. Re formal nights - Can I ask please if cocktail dress is fine or is long preferable? I have both and we regularly attend black tie events. Looking ahead to 2025 and looking at alternatives to Celebrity which is our usual line. It’s my 60th so looking for something special. Thank you.
  22. They can hopefully pass the messages up the food chain but I do feel very sorry for them having to deal with the brunt of complaints. Perhaps if there are enough complaints Celebrity will rethink. Personally I don’t think that will happen unless bookings go down for SS.
  23. I had tier level both times also. I’ve emailed previously about vaping as well as the suite cutbacks but not the wider cutbacks. We occasionally sail in regular cabins so the wider cuts also affect us.
