  1. X are being very silly I think. Putting up prices ok, but don’t cut down on service as people will look around.
  2. Oh my goodness thank you so much everyone. CC posters really do help. I agree about the butler, it can get intrusive at times. Well I’ve spoken to an agent, spoken to dh & he doesn’t want to change the cruise 😬. But I’m now armed with information I didn’t have before so I’ll definitely be more open to comparing and contrasting in the future!
  3. Yes we have a Magic carpet suite booked for October but I booked a guarantee so I’m not that worried. Will definitely try to persuade him and you have helped me be armed thank you :))
  4. Thank you. Would you say it’s almost as good a suite experience on Princess as celebrity? SV is a sunset veranda (regular cabin) on celebrity as I’ve mentioned changing over to dh but he’s reluctant. Mr creature of habit :)) CS is just so much money and things have changed from when we initially booked. The Princess cruise is a much more viable option Money wise. you have been very helpful. I feel we need to branch out but he’s a tad reluctant. 🤷🏻‍♀️
  5. Thank you that’s most comprehensive. Also thinking of cancelling & getting a SV instead. Money we save can do a speciality restaurants as well as another cruise 😁 Ive wanted to try Princess for a while I have to say. Thank you very much :))
  6. Hi just looking at sky Princess for June, last ph left is 607? Thinking of switching from celebrity in a celebrity suite. Any quick advice to persuade my dh? 😁 Many thanks
  7. Just thinking of switching our June cruise in a CS on apex to sky Princess (can’t remember which suite) but unsure.
  8. Another asking if you wouldn’t mind sharing please?
  9. Ok so I’ve just checked. Our Beyond October cruise. No Luminae sea day lunches listed but they are on my Apex cruise in June 🤷🏻‍♀️
  10. We are on Apex in a CS next June. Baltics. We will make elite+ if we do it. Sky Princess for a similar cruise is just over half the fare in a PH. Dh a creature of habit, won’t want to switch, but I’m tempted. He’s a big casino man, is smoking a big thing anyone know please? How will it compare? Looking at Oceania for 2025 special birthday. I keep saying 50 when it’s going to be 60 🤣 wishful thinking!
  11. He’s really good. I enjoy watching his videos.
  12. Been reading some of the other boards. Oceania, Princess all regulars talking about changes. I think changes are here to stay across the lines.
  13. I think that’s a good idea re Caribbean. We went to our house in Cyprus for NY once. It took 3 days of full heating for the house to warm up! The Mediterranean is cold over that time of year.
  14. Also in the evenings we usually have a cardigan or shawl to wear. Also first thing in morning on an excursion you will most likely need an extra layer. Doesn’t generally get warm till around 10.30/11. October and November are my favourite times to go to Cyprus as it’s far more pleasant weather wise.
  15. We’ve been assigned a MC suite on Beyond. Good price - yes I probably will regret it but at the price I paid I can’t really complain. We usually sail in upper suites or CS so a bit of a change. I’ve not bid on move up as I don’t want to end up with a worse location. I can only bid on Aqua suites or above. Not on SS.
  16. I’m gluten free but not coeliac. I was accommodated very well. I had the lobster for main & soufflé for dessert. Regret I can’t remember my starter.
  17. We were In Aqua on silhouette in June as suites were sold out. We way preferred Blu to Luminae. Tbh we’d have booked Aqua for our upcoming cruises if it wasn’t for the IVs & saved ourselves some £££.
  18. Murano without a shadow of doubt. We had lobster in June in murano. Another here who prefers Blu to Luminae.
  19. Also Sounion from Piraeus - Sounion is one of my favourite places. We went last year & used PK Travel.
  20. October and November are pleasant generally weather wise though obviously chances of rain. We have a house in Cyprus and often go in November. Often sunbathe in the morning, afternoon showers. Cooler in the evenings. If during the day warm enough to sit out for lunch though we generally eat indoors in the restaurants in the evenings.
  21. Thank you. Actually pressure point wrist bands are also a good idea.
  22. Possibly a U.K. thing but DH mentioned MIL diagnosis as that was ongoing. My dads was new & he simply didn’t think. It didn’t make difference in grand scheme of things as no way would we have gone. It’s just a nuisance we lost that money.
  23. I had my phone call last evening. I wasn’t on the phone long as have a bad cough. I discussed IV, said would be good to have a balcony and IV option if X is sold on IV. Butlers - ‘give us a chance’ was told it was to help spread the load. No other benefits being eliminated. Vaping no decisions been made yet.
  24. Ahh thank you. Dh covered my MIL pre existing (she’s still fine) but forgot to add my dad! Expensive (financially) mistake but being there meant more than money.
  25. Perhaps but Luminae is open for lunch. The queue for breakfast at 8.55am is so long. But I suppose if they extended breakfast hours then the people would just go later anyway!
