Would love to see a pic of kid's splash area/slide. Trying to decide whether or not there will be enough stuff for our 2 year old to do. He loved the kiddie area on the Dream in October.

Since nothing will be done to the waterpark area on the Freedom during this dry dock, can anyone share some pics or tell me what it's like now? Some places I look say it has one of the large yellow twister slides. Other places look like it just has the blue open slide. Is there a kiddie area for little ones to splash or a kiddie pool?

We're thinking of booking a cruise for August. Obviously we're too late to do Early Saver. Right now they are offering "Kid's Sail Free", but should we wait until 90 days before the cruise date to book or do the rates go down then?

We are thinking of booking a 6j on the Freedom in August, but I can't find any pictures of it. Is this a new room type coming with the dry dock upgrades? It's on the Lido deck.

Thanks, everyone!!! What if I add a 5 day from Tampa on the Carnival Paradise - Grand Cayman and Cozumel? Would you still say #1? Also, with the upgrades that are coming to Freedom, does anyone know if that will include more waterworks stuff? Our 2 year old enjoyed the splash park stuff and tiny slide when we were on the Dream in October.

Help us choose our next cruise. We have always done 7 day cruises, but it isn't feasible this time with our schedules. So here are the 2 we are looking at. Which one would you choose and why? (we are a family of 4 - kids ages 7 and 2)
1. 5 day leaving out of Fort Lauderdale on Carnival Freedom (in dry dock now but will be ready when we cruise in August). Going to Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman.
2. 5 day leaving out of New Orleans on Carnival Elation. Going to Cozumel (been once with kids and went to a resort for the day that time) and Progresso.

We specifically requested Tex for our private Best of Roatan tour this week after seeing his name a lot on these boards. He was WONDERFUL!!!!! He took us to so many great places. He even took us by his house and let us walk out on the dock behind his place to see them training dolphins and see people swimming with them. You could tell he has kids because he was so caring and patient with our children. He let us take our time at all the stops and never made us feel rushed. When we go back next time, we will definitely request him again.

We did Tropicante. It was wonderful!!! The staff was VERY attentive and most of them speak good English. The iguana eggs are amazing and my hubby said the shrimp ceviche was awesome. We both had a massage, which was also wonderful!!!

Following this thread...trying to decide between this and PB. Thanks!

Do you think it would be worth it for us to go with our kids (we don't drink, so don't care about that part)? Just looking for something cheap and fun!

We are booked in deluxe oceanview rooms 1288 and 1292 on the Carnival Dream. Any experience in these?
Anyone have pictures of cribs?

This is the only picture I could find. They are smaller than a regular crib but taller than a pack n play. They have slanted sides so we brought our son's "birdie machine" to hook on the side. He enjoyed the fact that he could still have his birdies on the ceiling and music playing - just like home.
