  1. Any bars open at night lets say i want to go to hot tub at 1 am i love to have beer can i get it ???

    neniukas,

Check the Cruise Compass for the hours of the bars. I don't think you will have a problem with finding a bar open at that hour, question is which ones will be open. I may be wrong , but I think the casino bar is usually open the latest. People gambling and buying drinks are two of the ways the cruise lines make their money. Double win for them.

    Enjoy your cruise.

  2. I don't eat shrimp so I have never noticed if it's served in the WJ at dinner time. My DH and I have skipped the MDR on the last few cruises in favour of the WJ but now I'm going with my son and daughter-in-law who love shrimp so it may have to be the MDR this time.

    Canuck,

You can also let your son & DIL know that they can order as many shrimp cocktails as they want. I love shrimp and will caution you however I thought the shrimp was just ok, and the cocktail sauce was horrible. Barely better the ketchup. You could try and ask for some horseraddish sauce on the side and then mix it with the cocktail sauce.

    Enjoy your cruise

  3. The name of the show is Dream Cruises. I just happened to stumble upon the show while channel surfing. Was looking to see if it was on again as this channel tends to repeat a lot, but thru tuesday at 2AM, no such luck. Maybe they have on demand. Good luck, hope you can find it. That cruise or one like it is on ouf bucket list.

    Enjoy your cruise.

  4. Looking for something that takes clear underwater pictures without excessive cost. Thank you in advance.

    Slumdog,

I was in the same position as you are now. Getting ready for our next cruise, and I wanted to get an underwater camera. After a lot of research, I settled on the Olympus TG-820. It was about $230-240 on Amazon. Have not used it underwater yet, (cruise is in March), but as a regular point and shot, the pics look great.

One thing I do remember reading many times in my research is underwater cameras are not cheap.

    Hope this helps. Good luck.

  5. We cruised to Bermuda Oct 2013. We had good weather just about the whole time. The ocean was very calm with little or no white caps. While in Bermuda we went to Horseshoe Bay and the weather was fine for going in the water, and laying out on the beach. I would not hesitate to go there again in October.

    Hope this helps.

    Enjoy your cruise.

  6. Our first cruise was on the Grandeur if the Seas, and we had a great time. Our steward was very friendly as well as our servers in the MDR. We would often run into one our MDR servers working in another part of the ship and she always remembered our names.

There was always plenty to do on the ship, they have plenty of activities going on throughout the day.

Can't wait to cruise on her again.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise.

  7. LOL. People have different terms for them (all made up from what I understand). When I decided to do these 2 cruises booked one after another, I had a thread about my "back to back" cruise planned. Someone corrected me and said that it's only a back to back if you are on the same ship. Others said to "call it whatever YOU want" and so on. It became a good laugh. Someone else came up with the term "back to belly" and it clicked with me. It sounded good and sounded funny and I went with it. That's where I got the term from. :D

Norwegian Cruise Lines...Freestyle Cruising...where you can do what you want, when you want and how you want...and even call your cruises whatever you want in your reviews. :p

You may call it whatever you want. I only ask you keep the great reviews coming in.

  8. Docking in Falmouth on our Western Carib Oasis cruise in Jan. Booked the catamaran tour which is 4 hrs. Hoping to go to Red Stripe Beach on our own via taxi or Margaritaville since we will have 2 to 3 hrs. Left after returning fr. Our excursion. Any one have an opinion on if we will have enough time?

    chanat,

I could be wrong, but I thought I read that Red Stripe Beach is about a 10-15 minute bus ride from the pier in Falmouth, and that transportation to and from the pier and beach are about 30 minutes apart. Double check this. Not sure if I read this here or on Tripadvisor.

    Enjoy your cruise.
