So glad to see your review of these cruises. You take great pics, and your narrative is nice and informative.
Can't wait to read more.

Loved to hear what you thought..?? :)
Me too. She has some excellent reviews.

Do all cruise lines make both people in the room buy the drinks plan. I can no longer drink alcohol due to health reasons but my travelling companion can. That is not fair that she couldn't buy the plan if she wanted to.
I believe that Royal Caribbean no longer requires all persons in the same stateroom to purchase the package.

niksmom630,
Thank you so much for your review. Can't tell you how much I enjoyed 'following' you on your cruise. Thanks also for posting the compass for each day. I We will be doing the same itinerary next year.

HEY glad to see a fellow passenger on here!! DH and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary on this cruise and bringing along our 3 kids ages 23, 20 and 15. We haven't been on a cruise since our honeymoon 25 years ago and the kids have never been so it should be quite the experience!
Nachi looks like a great spot, I now remember looking it up when initially making excursion reservations. However, we are doing a snorkling excursion with a private tour company that morning which is costing us about $55 pp so I don't think we can swing another $55 pp for some beach time especially since we will basically have a whole day at the beach on Labadee a couple days before. I think we will just do some shopping and stop by one of the "Free" establishments along the water for lunch and lounging like Money Bar.
Sounds like you have a good reason to go back.:)
Enjoy your cruise.

I have a Pentax DSLR that I will use on the cruise ship. It will be used with a telephoto lens mainly to take pics as we approach and leave the ports. After a lot of research, I just purchased an Olympus TG820. This will be used in ports as it is waterproof and dustproof. Not to comfortable with taking the DSLR to the beach. Way too much money invested in the DSLR and lenses.
Whatever you decide, take a lot of pics.
Enjoy your cruise.

Matt,
Thanks for the review. We'll be following in your footsteps in the spring.

A passport is all you will need. Just make sure the name on the passport is the same as on your set sail pass.
Enjoy your cruise.

Get the orange juice. Mix with the champagne you can bring on board, and you have a mimosa to start the day off!

franks402,
Royal Caribbean also sails to Bermuda. We went there on our first cruise and can't wait to get back. You picked a great destination for your first cruise. Check out the Bermuda forum here :

Having a travel agent do the planning for you is a great idea, this will just give you more information.
Enjoy you cruise

Jane,
This is another great review. I followed an earlier one by you and was glad to see you were doing another one.
At first I thought I could save some money by staying home and doing my cruises through your reviews.:) Not I am not sure. I feel you are convincing me to cruise even more!
Thanks for taking the time to post the reviews.

Okay here is the thing, you have a drink package and food is constantly been put in front of you, you are on vacation and willpower is at its lowest, if you are like me and tend to eat a bit more plus have the odd 2,3,4 more drinks than you normally would each day sooner or later your body reacts and more or less says slow down or I will bite back!
Anybody out there suggest any remedy, cures or old wives recipes to fight the body on this,
I do try to drink plenty of water but inevitably this does end up with a scotch in it so I am looking for other answers, any suggestions would be welcomed as the wife is willing to try them out first for my benefit.
Many Thanks
Jazz:D
Jazz,
I see your problem. As one scotch drinker to another, you should be drinking your scotch neat.:)
Hope this helps.

For all those interested, a nice article on getting the Quantum of the Seas to the sea.

Very nice review.
I wonder how many people will miss sailing on a vision class ship because it is 'too small'? Seems like most of the reviews done on these ships state how great the staff was and how the reviewer was surprised how nice a small ship can be on a cruise.
Glad you had a good time.

America is about the only country that won't let 18 year olds drink (anymore...they did when I was 18!!!)
Careful there CB, you're dating yourself.:)

Thanks for your review. Sounds like something that would be nice to do, especially for someone that does not golf very much. Like the way there are '3'
19th holes.:)

Would like info on this or other resorts in the area that offer "beach" days. Trying to convince wife to book something not through the ship.

Didn't realize that happens. I'll skip the panoramic pictures in the future. [emoji4]

Mr Walton1,
Don't you worry about us. You are on the cruise not us. We are just thankful for all your postings and pics. I honestly don't know how you find the time to make all these posts, but I am sure glad you do.:)

Oh no, another room to go through before the security lines [emoji25]

Mr Walton1,
While you were standing in line to get on the ship, I was sitting in traffic to get home. I would be happy to switch places.:)
Hope you have calm seas and a pleasant cruise.
Thanks for bringing us along.

I would go with the 7 day cruise. Just seems that a 5 day cruise is too short. By the time you get the layout for the ship and what not, it will be time to disembark. Plus having a balcony will be really nice. Having a mimosa for breakfast as you sit out on your balcony watching the ocean go by can be very relaxing.:)
Hope this helps.
Enjoy your cruise.
