I understand how you feel, I usually Cruise solo. The prices are definitely crazy for singles

Your comment seems a little mean spirited. I am financially capable of taking a cruise. I have 2 kids in college and 1 getting married next year so I am trying to take a nice vacation but keep it as economical as possible. I said in my title that it was a silly question. I just wondered if people ever travelled that light. I normally over pack and take 1 carry on and 1 check in.

I hope your husband starts to feel a little better soon. I hope you can get a good Home Health Care aid to come in daily. I am on the 3 day military diet. Then moving on to the 21 day fix. It is similar to the old fashioned Weight Watchers portion control, very small portion control. lol. Maybe you have seen all the TV commercials they have on this in the middle of the night.

I miss Monarch. I'll miss Enchantment. That being said, I'm looking forward to many fun cruises on Majesty. I'll go on whatever they put in PC to be honest. Tampa too, I'd love to see a permanent 4/5 ship there.

I also frequently sail solo and am very happy to get a price on RCI of $1300. Unfortunately I still love Royal, but I am looking elsewhere because of the prices.

Most people are sad to see a favorite class of ship leave. Little ships are the best. These Big Honker You Can Have And Enjoy.Bigger is not always better.

Hello again I am sorry you all are going through all this. I was going to say something but did not want to appear bossy. I would not go with hospice. We actually have 2 hospice agency's in our area they are known for being heavy on the pain medicine which can hasten someone. Especially someone with heart and lung problems. I really think you will do much better with a good RN home health care. They will make up a healthcare plan for his care. I was a CNA for several. One that had hospice besides. I worked for visiting Angels. What ever you decide we are all praying for you.

I wish they'd all concentrate on better rather than just bigger.

I agree, I will refer to the Radiance Class as a mid size ship and a perfect size, not to small & not to large. A new Radiance Class ship could be built, keeping the glass with perhaps some added touches but one doesn't need all the bells & whistles to make a ship better. Retain some itamacy with a new Radiance Class ship.

I love Amtrak. Take often from Florida to Pennsylvania. More people than ever take the train. Much nicer than flying.

Why doesn't someone take the reigns find something interesting and let's all go on a cruise maybe 1st week in Nov or 2nd week? or 1st week in Dec?

I have found the best way is to go to Vacations to go. I check it a lot. On the left side you will see Single Discounts and it will show you all the cruises with single discount prices. I have done 10 cruises as a single and I am 73 yrs old. I like Royal and Princess. When I lived in Florida I went on 7 cruises in 4 years. It was the only thing I liked about living in Florida.

I am pretty new to cruising but there is one thing I want to avoid.

 

I don't want to end my cruise by taking my luggage to breakfast and leaning against the wall for hours. It was a totally awful way to end what was a pleasant experience.

 

Before buying is there a way to sort which cruises don't try to bully you out of your room before allowing you off the ship?

 

I'm just not doing that again, ever.

I understand the single supplement if you are booking a regular room, but I don't think you should have to pay it on a room that only holds one person.

Hi oppalopa, its Karen isn't it? That is great your sister's friend started that account for her. Medical procedures are so expensive, hope all goes well. I have heart burn and the dr said take an antacid at night since they last 24 hrs. I have been doing that and it helps but in the back of my mind always wondering about it. Thats why I ask people what their symptoms were or are.
