  1. Your comment seems a little mean spirited. I am financially capable of taking a cruise. I have 2 kids in college and 1 getting married next year so I am trying to take a nice vacation but keep it as economical as possible. I said in my title that it was a silly question. I just wondered if people ever travelled that light. I normally over pack and take 1 carry on and 1 check in.
You are right her answer was snarky .
  2. I hope your husband starts to feel a little better soon. I hope you can get a good Home Health Care aid to come in daily. I am on the 3 day military diet. Then moving on to the 21 day fix. It is similar to the old fashioned Weight Watchers portion control, very small portion control. lol. Maybe you have seen all the TV commercials they have on this in the middle of the night.

  3. Hello again I am sorry you all are going through all this. I was going to say something but did not want to appear bossy. I would not go with hospice. We actually have 2 hospice agency's in our area they are known for being heavy on the pain medicine which can hasten someone. Especially someone with heart and lung problems. I really think you will do much better with a good RN home health care. They will make up a healthcare plan for his care. I was a CNA for several. One that had hospice besides. I worked for visiting Angels. What ever you decide we are all praying for you.

  4. I agree, I will refer to the Radiance Class as a mid size ship and a perfect size, not to small & not to large. A new Radiance Class ship could be built, keeping the glass with perhaps some added touches but one doesn't need all the bells & whistles to make a ship better. Retain some itamacy with a new Radiance Class ship.
That would be nice I agree.
  5. LOL...pretty simple, right?!? But it's Cruise Critic. This is the place where we welcome everyone to contribute questions, deep thoughts, personal opinions about cruising. Then we turn on the posters; verbally assault them, and beat them mercilessly with the cyber-space bat. I love this place.
I agree but why do people do that? Really? Or the people who come on here and beg to not be flamed for giving their opinion.
  6. I have found the best way is to go to Vacations to go. I check it a lot. On the left side you will see Single Discounts and it will show you all the cruises with single discount prices. I have done 10 cruises as a single and I am 73 yrs old. I like Royal and Princess. When I lived in Florida I went on 7 cruises in 4 years. It was the only thing I liked about living in Florida.
I agree with everything you said I live in Florida too. :)
  7. I am pretty new to cruising but there is one thing I want to avoid.

I don't want to end my cruise by taking my luggage to breakfast and leaning against the wall for hours. It was a totally awful way to end what was a pleasant experience.

Before buying is there a way to sort which cruises don't try to bully you out of your room before allowing you off the ship?

I'm just not doing that again, ever.

    Norwegian :)
  8. Hi oppalopa, its Karen isn't it? That is great your sister's friend started that account for her. Medical procedures are so expensive, hope all goes well. I have heart burn and the dr said take an antacid at night since they last 24 hrs. I have been doing that and it helps but in the back of my mind always wondering about it. Thats why I ask people what their symptoms were or are.
Do you get the scope test done? She could not hardly even swallow at all. Karen :)
