Hi, we are also in our fourty‘s and we don‘t like shows, dancing and entertainment. We love quit ships… so we prefer going with the small ships of holland America. Two years ago we had our first cruise with O and it is more quiet then we knew it from HAL. So O is definatly the wrong choice for you. There might be solo travelers on O, but they will be much older then you. In October the Mediterranean won’t be that warm any more. We always go in the beginning of October. But you also might have some rain. On the Canary Islands you will have the better weather in this time of year (normally). Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza are nice ports for cruise ships, also Funchal on Madeira is great. Have a nice trip to Europe

We got a good price (compared to a balcony cabin) for a Neptune suite. i do not drink much alcohol, maybe two glasses of wine a week, so the signature drinking package is not the best choice for me. my husband will be happy to get some beer or wine included before going to dinner…

When I go to gratuieties : I can book them for both of us to pay them in advance. i can also book the signature drink package. But we booked the wave promo and both of that is included in our fare…

Normally I have excursions, dinner and gratuities. But on the website I can say that I want to pay it now - so it looks to me like it is not included now….

Hi, we just booked a cruise with the Oosterdam with a TA. I got the confirmation from the TA that Have it all and Gratueties are included in the price. Can I see this also in my account? When I look at the cruise, have it all is still offered to me 🤷‍♀️ also signature drink package etc thanks and greets from Germany janine

We are on this cruise also. We are not happy about the changes but we trust in the cruise line they had good reasons to do so. When I checked the cruise today, there were a lot of new excursions for this cruise. So we will have a look what kind of excursions we will do. When we booked in August, the cruise was waitlisted. Now I can see around 120 cabins free. I think a lot of them are people who where on the cruise before and had a B2B.

We also do not like shore excursions with the cruise line, but in my opinion there are always tours where you have just the transfer for example or there are excursions you won’t have think about because they are really expensive and now you can book it and can just do it without using your money. for us it’s fine. right now we are waiting for new excursions, because we can not to all on one day 😂

Our TA checked with Oceania - excursion credits can only be used for excursions, no exceptions. we will wait for new excursions now ….

This is not what I said, but I am sure that O will find new excursions for new ports until April ! it is six month ahead

I am sure there will be new excursions for April. I am not sure if they will have new excursions for the cruise in 5 weeks 🤷‍♀️

Thanks. it is already a booking with simply more - no Olife choice any more. we will ask our TA if he can find a solution with O - we maybe will book an excursion on one day, but prefer to do it the second day - there no excursions are bookable … we will see what our TA can do

Hello to all cruisers who had changed cruises on Riviera. We are booked for the Riviera starting 19th of December. All our excursions are cancelled- we booked with simply more and we now can only book a few excursions in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sir Bani Yas and only one day. The hop on hop off bus is still sold out. Each guest have 400$ for excursions but we can’t really book one 🙁 can we use this money for other things on the ship - like going to the spa, buy a Hugo or a beer at the pool ? Or is it gone 🤷‍♀️ thanks and even if it is not what we booked we are looking forward be on a O ship again. greets Janine

I don’t think Oceania have to think about new passengers even if some passengers right now do not want to sail with them any more. First of all we will see in two years how many of these people really did not book a new cruise and there will be people who are not satisfied with other cruise lines and will change to Oceania. As I see you prefer celebrity and their behavior. We for example won’t travel with celebrity again if we do lot have too. Everybody has other experiences…

Reading your posts just let us check our cruise days on board - we were 111 nights on board … so also bronze ?? Never recognized it before reading the posts 😳

So on formal nights you can make a reservation in la terazza and do not have so wear formal, is this correct ? (we then wear vest and blouse for the women ☺️)

Much more casual sounds perfekt. my husband likes to wear shirt and vest together with a nice trouser - will this be ok for informal evenings ? the formal evenings we will skip or go to la terazza 👍🏽

First of all, I understand the TO that to dress up after a long tour is not that what he/she wants. we think of booking a cruise in Alaska next year but also don’t know if the dresscode will be right for us. we like to dress nice in the evening but do not like to wear the formal clothes. nice trousers with nice white shirt - ok… tie - not really and suit is always to warm. so it seemed like we will be totally underdressed ? is there a Buffett where you can have casual dinner ? thanks

What is wrong with my post ? And I don’t think it is very critical - I just asked myself some questions … on our last cruises we got a pin and a letter that we now reached a higher „level“ at the end. Also for two and for three star it was like that. people next to our cabin also got their 3 star pin during the cruise because we saw it hanging in front of their door. I like HAL - this is why we are 4 star mariners! I also think that these guys turning 4 stars or more are very important people for the cruise line because they are always coming back (I am not going with a cruise line I don‘t like on so much cruises). I know that we get the perks on the next cruise. And I recognized we turned four star at home when checking my account - I was not sitting in my cabin and waiting for them to bring me the pin. But I also know the celebrations (not for us - for the Medaillon members !) on other cruise ships in the past and just where a little upset that there was nothing like that on this cruise and I do not even get an information during this cruise (like we got on the other cruises before) :“hey you are 4 star now“. for me it seemed like loyal cruisers are not important any more - and in my opinion that is the wrong thing … Like it is said on many posts before - we are happy to be a 4star now because of the laundry and other perks. …. and it seems like a lot of people liked the ceremony’s and just the informations: hey - nice to have you back here on board….
