JTSpitfire Posted December 21, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2015 Greetings all, After many Celebrity cruises and several on Royal Caribbean, we've signed up for Regal Princess cruise this winter. Does the published 222 square footage of an BF cabin include the 42 square foot balcony? Thanks, JTSpitfire Western New York

IECalCruiser Posted December 21, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 21, 2015 (edited) Thanks for your speedy reply!Your welcome. In addition, the standard balcony cabins don't have sofas but just two chairs. The new Deluxe Balcony category adds 11 sq.ft. of space and a love seat at a higher cost. moki'smommy Posted December 21, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 21, 2015 Every line I'm familiar with includes the size of the balcony as part of the cabin size. This is definitely true on Princess, Disney, and Celebrity.

Thanks, JTSpitfire Western New York The D1 and D2 cabins on Royal Caribbean seem to be about the equivalent of the Mini-suites on Princess.....so a regular balcony cabin on Princess will feel much smaller (in my opinion). There is just one small upholstered chair and a desk chair on Princess.....where there is actually enough room for a sofa on the S-class ships on Celebrity -- which I think are about 20-25 sq ft larger in size. This site is excellent for comparing cabin sizes: https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/index.php
