taboom Posted November 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2015 A while back, I read that Cagneys was switching to a la carte pricing but I haven't seen any info recently about it. Has it happened? Anyone have the info?? Just wondering what to expect when we are on the Getaway in March. Cagneys is the one specialtyrestaurant that my husband wants to try! Thanks in advance for any help :)
3kidsncats Posted November 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2015 As far as I know, the new menu/pricing is currently only on Escape. Expected to go fleetwide the first of January.
jjikids Posted November 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2015 According to the Latitudes email magazine I received the rest of the fleet will get the new menus in mid March. So who actually knows when they will be there.

Rare BirdTravels Posted November 29, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 29, 2015 Is there still an upcharge if you have the UDP? If you have an old UDP, there is no additional charge. You would order your meal as you do today.
LrgPizza Posted November 29, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 29, 2015 There is no upcharge with UDP or SDP.
Rare Dorhead1230 Posted November 29, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 29, 2015 I noticed that there seem to be entree options on the a la carte menu that were not available on the old menu (there was never a surf and turf, whole lobster, or fisherman's platter, right?). When dining at Cagney's with the SDP, are all of the entree choices included? I would think that a few of those new options might be excluded or involve an upcharge. Thanks in advance for any information anyone can provide.

Thanks in advance for any information anyone can provide. Nothing is excluded and nothing has an upcharge. I had surf & turf two times, along with multiple appetizers and sides. I was charged $0 with my 4 day SDP. You will only be charged if you order more than one entree, which is how it has always been with the dining plans. Now, I'll just have to wait and see whether a million more things change between now and July lol.

hlsess Posted November 29, 2015 #14 Share Posted November 29, 2015 what if we are eating there and paying the $35 fee -how does it work?
rvsullivan Posted November 29, 2015 #15 Share Posted November 29, 2015 what if we are eating there and paying the $35 fee -how does it work? If you are eating there without the UDP or SDP, then there is no $35 fee. It will be a la carte. Escape is currently the only ship with a la carte pricing. Fleetwide sometime after Jan 1, 16. If you read 2 posts above yours, the answer is yes. You can order as many sides and appetizers as you want.
zdcatc12 Posted November 29, 2015 #17 Share Posted November 29, 2015 It appears no more Bison steak available. I had that last time I ate there.

Lrgpizza is right. Actually, at Le Bistro, we ordered an entree each plus a pizza for the table. I suppose they just considered it an appetizer since we didn't order any other appetizers. FYI- pizza is a great appetizer!

taboom Posted December 20, 2015 Author #22 Share Posted December 20, 2015 I was just looking at my cruise account for my upcoming Getaway cruise on ncl website and it says Cagneys will be a la carte for all sailings after Feb. 14, 2016.
LrgPizza Posted December 20, 2015 #23 Share Posted December 20, 2015 I never noticed Le Bistro has pizza on their menu? Are you sure it was Le Bistro where you ordered the pizza? There is no pizza at Le Bistro. For what it's worth, the new La Cucina menu no longer has pizza either.

vicocala Posted December 20, 2015 #25 Share Posted December 20, 2015 How can you buy an SDP if it's a la carte ? Because it will be that way for those who don't have an SDP. I bought one for my March Spirit cruise in advance just to avoid going a la carte.
