Alaska Live, July 17th - 27th. Just the tip of the iceberg.

Just watched an episode of Alaska Railroad and saw Animal. I have been watching all the Alaska reality shows for years. I feel like I know everyone in the state! It would be fun to catch a glimpse of someone from one of the shows, especially the Kilcher family.

smelled like raisins, :D, almost had to wipe the laptop screen from the wine!

Great review Andrew - love your style. The Pics and vids were awesome. Been to Alaska 3 times (Legend, Serenade, Jewel) - never done the interior portion so really loved seeing that.

Wonderful and funny review. Enjoyed it very much and it brought back great memories. Thank you!

Our wait staff in the MDR have been great. Not having eaten in the MDR in years, it has been a great experience. Early seating with the same waiters has been a wonderful surprise.

The last time that were on this itinerary, we ran into heavy rain as soon as we entered the inside passage. We got to see very little of it.

Found this outside our second door today.

The fog was thick enough that we heard him before we saw him. The Canadian pilot will stay on the ship until we dock in Vancouver.

The fog has just lifted.

LIVE NOW.

And then the humpback whales appeared, the same time as dessert.

Now this. This ship is crazy. We need more MDR.

The inside passage is amazing right now. Totally watching from the balcony tonight.

Come sit with me a while.

Look at that view. Look up, you aren’t going to see that on your 4” screen.

Definitely a reason to sail the inside passage.

I’m going to catch up with photos from yesterday. I am going to continue with our bear watching excursion pics.

On the walking path we saw another bear den for afternoon naps.

We then rounded the bend to see this. In total we saw 3 different bears and we were there for about an hour with our guide. The closest we were was about 30’ away from them. There was no fencing for protection, but our guide had bear spray.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful vacation. It sure made our rainy week here on the east coast of the US more bearable. And that photo of your son on the zipline was the best.

We saw some eagles as well.

We wrapped up and did some sitting on the dock on bay, wasting time.

Our time was complete and our flight back arrived. This plane was smaller and only took the four of us.

Our pilot back was Jim. Loved his style. He has been flying this plane for two years.

And with that he fired the engine and we were off.

The plane we rode back on was used by the US Army in the Korean War.

Loved the Hula Girl.

The flight back was just as uneventful with a picture perfect smooth landing.

I thought about buying this but where would I wear it?
