Sand and Seas Posted August 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2018 Just noticed that my Total Rewards (CET) Promotions pages offers CET Tier credits for a special 'Cruisin Into Summer' offer. If you log into your TR account and click on Promotions you might have this too. Has anyone else registered for this offer? Do you think it would count against my on board comps? I never saw an email on this but guess I'm 'invited' since it's on my promo page. I've copied some details below: The Cruisin’ Into Summer Bonus Offer (“Offer”) is open to invited Total Rewards members (“Participants”) who have booked a cruise with Norwegian Cruise Line (“NCL”) and plan to sail between the dates of June 1, 2018 and August 31, 2018. NCL Casinos at Sea Points Earned 0-500 501-1,000 1,001-2,500 2,501-5,000 5,001-100,000 100,001+ Tier Credit Bonus Received 125 750 1,250 5,000 10,000 15,
VideoTech Posted August 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2018 Interesting! Don't see it up on the promotions page anymore, perhaps because August is almost over. Wish they'd extend it to December when we're cruising! I don't know any reson why this offer would have any effect on your NLC on board comps. It simply allows you to earn some TR points for your play on NCL, which is great.
Sand and Seas Posted August 20, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted August 20, 2018 This is the first time I've seen this type of offer, but I hope they continue to do this type of cross promotion. CET has sent lots of people on NCL cruises so it's about time they encourage our play onboard;)
CalLuvsCrusingToo Posted September 12, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 12, 2018 I'm alittle late to the thread.... I Think I rec'd this offer too, but its gone now. I also hope CET encourages crossplay. However as long as CAS Stings us with a "$25O Admin Fee", on Comp cruises? (Princess Doesn't do that & I get just as many free offers from our local casino) I will continue to use more Princess cruise comp Vouchers. I've done 6 Princess cruises in the past 2 years vs. just One or 2 on NCL. If this rule Changes on NCL CAS charging this ridiculous Admin fee? Then they Might get some of my business back. (I'm Plat on Princess now, too.)
Sand and Seas Posted September 14, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted September 14, 2018 We haven't been offered a Princess comp cruise. Do you like their casinos onboard? We dedicate our on land gambling to CET so only NCL cruises are offered. While we still maintain high tier with CET, we finally started dedicating the $$ we would have spent in Las Vegas picking up a cruise voucher to playing on the ship. Now we get our cruises directly from CAS. Since we are cruising with them 4 times a year I've found it not hard to achieve Tier status with CAS that guarantees us OBC for each cruise along with some other perks. Found it to be a better return for our gambling budget. I do recall a time period where the Admin Fee for a week was as high as $200 per week per person. Was very happy when they dropped it down to $140 again. One thing I find that helps 'pay' for the fee is the ability to use two cruise next vouchers for balconies booked 6 months or more out. ($500 deposit with a net cost of $250). If you are able to book one of these cruises during the 'Tax Free' sales, I found we had to pre-pay the daily service charges in order to use the entire $500 (net 250) deposit. Was lucky enough to catch two of these to use in the next year.

Seems its always been $250 each, $500 for 2 people right off the top! That was STEEP in comparison to NOT being charged this on Princess. I got Princess vouchers originally thru Venetian/Palazzo. More recently thru our local IC which is run by Stations. Stations seems to give out Princess, like CET gives out NCL. (Many Stations casinos in Vegas, I especially like Red Rock.) Prin ship casinos are very similar to NCL ships to be honest. Not a big diff. Except on their Formal nights, Prin ships Casinos become NON smoking, which we really LIKE. And now that I'm a regular player onboard, I get a turnaround offer directly from Princess casino before I get off the ship. For us West coast folks, Princess sails out of SF which makes a very EASY embarcation for us. I'm sailing on Princess from there again, in 2 weeks.
