Help guessing formal nights?

Does anyone care to help me guess which will be the formal nights on this itinerary?? Trying to think about dining plans...

There is usually an introduction to the crew and a welcome on the first gala night in the show room. It usually lasts around 15 minutes or so now. Sparkling wine is usually offered IIRC.

HAL doesn't have formal nights anymore. They are now called Gala nights. Men for the most part wear nice slacks and a collared shirt. Some will wear a jacket and a tie. You will see a few in tuxedo. Ladies usually wear nice dresses or slacks with fancy tops. Only a few will wear long dresses.

Gala nights could day 2 or 3 and 9.

This leads me to ask...any guesses on how many gala nights would there be over the course of a 27 day cruise?

I'd guess that Day 7 would be a formal night, since it's a sea day. I'd also guess day 3 for the Welcome Gala, and and maybe day 10 for the Farewell Gala.

Thanks for the replies. I did read up on the change from Formal Nights to Gala Nights. That makes planning easier for us, actually. I appreciate the feedback!!

On our 30 cruise we have 6 gala nights. I would guess 5 or 6 for you.
