rogerdawhip Posted July 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2015 After reading an article in USA Today about Tauck river cruises I decided to check out their website. I never ventured there before because I figured they were way out of my price range. I was very surprised to see they have no single supplements on their lowest rated cabins. I checked their prices against GCCL and discovered only a $200-300 difference for similar cabins, dates and cruises. I'm already book for the rest of 2015 and all of 2016 but will look into Tauck for 2017.
Barrheadlass Posted July 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2015 Very interesting! Thanks for the posting. I often travel solo especially with GCT so will look into this.
Louise22 Posted July 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2015 Do be sure and book way ahead of time - a year if you can do it. The higher categories book up very quickly and I would think it would be the same with the singles. Great opportunity for sure.

Tauck isn't limiting this to 1 or 2 Single cabins on each ship -- it applies to all cabins in category 1 -- so availability should be somewhat better than you expect. But booking early is always good advice on a river cruise!
