I set the ISO to 1600 and aperture wide open (f/4.5) on my D70. Also, I shoot it in RAW and fine tune the exposure/color later.

Here is the EXIF data for the first pic:

Flash used: No

Focal length: 60.0mm (35mm equivalent: 90mm)

Exposure time: 0.017 s (1/60)

Aperture: f/4.5

ISO equiv.: 1600

Metering Mode: matrix

Exposure: aperture priority (semi-auto)

How did you get those shots with out using a flash?

They always say not to use a flash during the show...

I have a 20D so I should be able to get good pictures like that..

How did you do it?

I used nothing but a dweeby lil Canon PowerShot A630,

set on P mode (that kills the flash),

set the camera on the rail in front of me, hold steady and fire away!

Most of them came out a lil blurred, but here's my best one.

For a point-and-shoot camera, I reckon it's not bad!

You can see others I took in Carnival Destiny's PALLADIUM Theatre, at url
