cal516 Posted September 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2009 I got an e-mail from RC today offering me the opportunity to pre-order a wine package for a cruise in November at up to 25% off regular prices. As an example, the discounted price for the 5 bottle packages were: Diamond - $158 ($31.60 p/b) Platinum - $144 ($28.80 p/b) Gold -$130 ($26.00 p/b) I don't mean to imply the offer is deceptive but, I'm pretty sure these are exactly the same prices offered onboard. OK, well, maybe I do mean to imply the offer is deceptive. Plus, I presume, they still add the standard gratuity on top of these prices. Does anyone remember what they paid onboard? 39august Posted September 2, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2009 Those prices include the gratuity. The actual price with gratuity on board for Gold 5 night pkg. is $129.95.

They mean that the package price can be 25% cheaper than buying by the bottle, NOT that they are discounting their regular price for the package! :)
rannoch Posted September 2, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2009 Was about to ask about these wine packages. My wife and I usually have a couple of glasses from the bottle and have it held until the next evening when we finish it. So, 7 bottles during the 14 night cruise. How does this wine order work. Is it offered when you check in, as you go on board, on on the first night at the meal. What are the wine choices. Thanks Rannoch

Menu You can pre-order online or any time onboard in the MDR. On day one they will also hawk them outside of breakfast & lunch. No problem having the waiter keep a bottle for 2 meals. ...
